I was about to open my mouth to speak, but my words caught in my throat. I felt a shift in the atmosphere and I froze to the spot.

"Haruno has fallen."

I recognised the voice immediately, Muzan. The man who had turned me into a demon.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of a Biwa again and I was transported to a new section of the infinity fortress. Even though the wooden platforms and corridors were still there, everything was different now, more spaced out and eerie than before.

I glanced around and saw I was on the exterior of a corridor with some stairs trailing down beside me. I didn't know where else to go so I followed down, wondering what was to happen to me. My mind ran through scenarios of whether Muzan would be irked that I had overpowered and upper moon seeing as I wasn't even a demon of the twelve kizuki in the first place.

As I descended the stairs, I hopped across several wooden platforms, my heart racing as I tried to process the gravity of the situation. In the distance, I heard voices and my curiosity got the better of me. I leapt across several more platforms until I came to a clearing and saw them – the upper moons.

My knees threatened to give way as I gazed upon them. Their auras were so strong that I could feel them pulsating through the air. One of them, the platinum-haired demon I recognised from earlier, caught my eye as he skipped over to a pink-haired demon who seemed unamused by his antics. The pink haired demon had the appearance of a muscular young man with skin so fair that appears bright green-tinged white, decorated by a pattern of thick blue lines. I couldn't help but wonder what they were discussing.

Suddenly, the platinum-haired demon turned to me and grinned, his sharp teeth glinting in the light. My heart leapt into my throat as I realised I had been caught staring. I quickly averted my gaze and backed away, hoping that I hadn't attracted too much attention.

As I stepped back, I heard a grumble that sounded more like a fearful whimper. Curiosity getting the better of me, I looked down and saw a demon on a platform close to me. The sight of him made me stop in my tracks. He was visibly shaken, cowering in fear as if trying to hide from something. It was clear that this demon's feared something.

He looked like an old man, with two horns protruding from his head, and a large lump between them, bigger than the size of a fist. His hunched posture and constant shivering only added to his frail and frightened appearance. Despite his pitiful state, his aura told a different story. It was strong and proved that he was an upper-rank demon. I couldn't help but wonder why such a powerful demon appeared so afraid.

As I turned back to where the two other upper moons had been, I noticed that one of them was missing. The platinum-haired demon had vanished without a trace. I was half contemplating whether it would be acceptable for me to turn away and leave. Instead I froze in place as I heard a faint chuckle behind me.

Slowly, I turned around and saw the upper moon two demon standing there, his face hidden behind the golden fan. I couldn't help but feel a shiver run down my spine as I gazed upon him. He seemed to be studying me with a sinister glint in his eye, and I could feel his aura pressing down on me like a heavy weight.

I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do next. But then, the demon spoke in a soft velvety voice that sent chills down my spine and lowered the fan away from his face.

"Well, well, well," he said, his lips curling into a sly smile. "What do we have here? It seems I have a new plaything."

I took a step back, feeling the weight of his presence bearing down on me. I could sense the danger emanating from him, and knew that any snarky comment I made might mean my life.
