Mark's POV:
Jackson smirked as I slowly turned back around and sat down beside him. "Wow, it's really true. You totally fell for her."
I glared at him, "Stop talking nonsense. I'm only staying here because you'll be a loner without me!" He chuckled. "No, I wouldn't. You don't know how many people skip class just to watch Park Chorong and her group of girls play badminton. But my eyes are only for Jung Eunji. Ahh, my Eunji looked so pretty today~!" He said, leaning the weight of his head on his palms. I laughed at his lovey-dovey comment.
"Oh, here they come now!"
He pointed towards the group of girls and immediately, I couldn't help but look straight at Park Chorong. The way she pushed her fringe to the side was so adorable to me. Well, it must be for the whole audience of boys outside the gym door that came to watch her play, too. Hold on, why are we the only two guys inside?
I was instantly distracted once I watched Chorong drop the shuttlecock and hit it with her racket, powerfully. Woah, she's really good... I looked over at Jackson who was 'fanboying' over his Eunji, who just hit it over the net.
I stared back at Chorong who seemed to be doing every single thing ever so perfectly. Even with sweat trickling down her forehead, she still looked amazing.
"And you say you don't like her... You look like you're about to drool.." Jackson's words brought me back to reality as I checked to see if I actually had any drool. "For the 100th time, I-I don't like her..!" He placed his hand on my shoulder. "Hyung, you're such a coward, you know that?"
He suddenly pushed my head down, as if he was hiding or something.
Getting annoyed, I pushed his hand away. "And how about you? I bet you haven't even confessed to that Jung Eunji of your dreams!" He nodded, sitting normally again and glancing back at her. "Yeah, you're actually right... But, you can prove yourself and me both wrong! You should go for it!"
"Are you crazy?! If she hasn't even accepted one guy, what makes you think she'll give me a chance?!" He smirked, "Fine, then I dare you! I dare you to make Park Chorong fall in love with you. Well, unless you admit to being a coward."
"What?! No way! I told you I don't like her!" I yelled. Aish, this kid is a coward himself and he's calling me one..?!
He smiled, "Then make her fall in love with you without any worries, you did say that you didn't like her so there shouldn't be a problem!" I raised an eyebrow. "And why would I do that?" I asked. Is this kid dumb or something? "Because I dared you too." I rolled my eyes at such a stupid reason and refused to do so. "See? Coward." The word 'coward' seemed to have triggered some sort of urge in me.
"F-Fine!" I suddenly blurted out, without thinking.
His eyes widened, "Really?!" I nodded softly. Well, there's no going back anymore... "Y-Yeah... I accept." He smiled widely and patted my back. "Wow! You're really daebak, Mark-hyung!" A whistle suddenly blew.
"Hyung, it's their break time. Quick, go and talk to her! This is your chance!" He yelled, pushing me into the court. I looked back at Jackson, who kept weirdly jumping up and down (which by the way, didn't help or encourage me whatsoever), as I bit my lip nervously. I'm such an idiot... Why did I let him convince me into something... Again?
I stared at Chorong who was currently playing with one of her friends. I didn't know why but I was beginning to sweat. Before I could even try to approach her, something hit my forehead, making me fall to the ground once again. What's going on with me and getting hit on my forehead today?
A sudden roaring voice could be heard from probably everyone in the gymnasium. "Latecomer, is that you?! What are you doing here? I thought I told you to go to class?!" Damn it, that Jackson! That's why he was trying to hide!
