Mark's POV:
Park Chorong...
"TUAN!"
I shot up in my seat, shocked. "E-Er.. Yes?" Mr. Kong rolled his eyes, "That was the third time I've called you! What could be more important in that mind of yours than what I'm trying to teach right now? Would you like to tell the whole class?" He suddenly asked. From the corner of my eye, I could see Jackson laugh.
Damn...
I was playing with my pencil in my hand but quickly placed it down when Mr. Kong gave me a scary glare. "U-Uh.. I was listening to you, sir..?"
"Well then, I'll have to see about that." Soon, everybody in the class had their eyes on me. "Since you say you've been listening, please tell me who wrote the play, 'Romeo & Juliet'?"
"William Shakespeare." I proudly answered, making him slowly nod. Phew, I'm glad I actually know a thing or two, not like someone... I looked at Jackson, who was staring at me in complete awe. Well, that's exactly what I mean...
"Correct. I see you actually do have something in that brain of yours. However, next time, I want to see your eyes on the board, not in dreamland."
I slowly nodded in embarrassment as the class began to laugh but I noticed a few girls just stare at me.
Weird.
"Does anybody know the theme in most of Shakespeare's plays?" He asked the class.
I shot my hand up immediately as Mr. Kong raised an eyebrow. "Yes, Tuan?" I smiled, "I believe it's tragedy, which occurred in 'Romeo & Juliet', 'Hamlet' and 'Julius Caesar'."
He stared at me weirdly before suddenly clearing his throat. "Well, Tuan. It seems like you know a lot more than your friend, Mr. Wang, over here." I laughed as Jackson hid his face behind his textbooks. "You should learn a thing or two from him, Wang."
Jackson frowned, ignoring King Kong. "Whatever.." He scoffed, before laying his head down on his desk.
=== CLASS ENDED ===
As soon as the bell rang, announcing it was time to leave, I was eager to leave the room.
Jackson sighed, "Oh my god, finally! King Kong was going to drain my life with all his speeches about some dead guy named Shakespeare." I laughed. "You know if you listened instead of dozing off for the rest of class, you might just understand something."
He frowned, "Ugh, stop talking about it... Oh, that reminds me! I almost forgot! We gotta go!" I raised an eyebrow. "Go where?" I asked, as I reached for my bag.
He smiled, holding something round in his hands. A ball.
"We have basketball practice, man! Or do I have to mention your new crush to convince you to come? They're always practicing at the gym!" He teased, winking at me.
I rolled my eyes, snatching the basketball in his hands, before walking off without him.
"Hey, wait up for me, hyung!"
=== GYM - AFTER SCHOOL ===
We both entered the gymnasium and just as Jackson said, the badminton team was also there practicing.
"Wang! Latecomer!" Our coach yelled.
"You're both late! Quickly, Wang, change into your jersey and Latecomer, here's yours!" I smiled and nodded.
I looked up and my eyes suddenly landed on Park Chorong who was laughing with her friends.
Her laugh was soft and cute, I couldn't help but smile wider.
