Kate's POV:
Lee is a great friend and fun to tess around. She's nice, smart and the literal meaning of nerd in a good way. Oh yeah and rich like rich-rich. 'She sounds like one of a kind' Lisse said when I talked about Lee. I asked her why and she replied with a look that said "are you serious?" Like what am I missing?
I go to my apartment with the key in hand. I unlock the door, walking into my place. Going to my room, dropping my bag and grabbing my phone. I go and lay down on my bed. I spend most of my time on my phone scrolling through TikTok or Tweeter or whatever it's interesting.
Then I get a call. I answered it then a familiar voice go's thought. "Hello?" I smile to the voice. "Hi." I said happily. "So you saw my note?" I said. "Maybe..." I smile. She read it. "Ok, so you did?" I said going along. "I don't know, did I?" Lee says. I grinned.
"Ok we're doing this." I said. "Fine, I might have seen it." Lee said, "Ok what did it say?" I asked."It says," she starts. "The note said 'Hi. this is the thing I wanted to ask you." she said. "I also wanted to tell you this. Why I'm I such a bitch." She said, "THAT DIDN'T SAY THAT." I said as she laughed at me. "Seriously, it's not fun." I said. "Fine, fine but it was kind-of funny."
"You know it wasn't."
"It most definitely is, and you can't catch my opinion."
"Really, nothing?"
"Yep, apparently nothing."
"Oh but there's always something." I said in a steady voice. She was silent for a bit then said. "L-like what?"
"What do you think?" I said, smiling. She took a sharp breath. "What's wrong?" I said then continuing with. "Cat got your tongue?"
