Chapter 4

My eyes meet the guy and his piercing gaze is looking right through my soul. so this is Alexander .

" what can I say dean , I'm a very busy person " said Alexander with his right eyebrow raised .

His voice it's raspy but deep ,he has an attitude and arrogance in his tone and I'm not fond of arrogant people. I can clearly see Andrea and Alexander are twins . I remember Eva telling me that Andrea is 3 minutes older than her brother . Their facial features are quite similar, their pink full lips , arched eyebrows, almond shaped eyes , forest green eyes , straight nose and a very symmetrical face . The only difference is the darker and lighter shades of their hair . Andrea has light brown hair whereas , Alexander has hair as dark as the night sky without the moon .

" of course you are . Meet me in my office after the assembly " said Mr. John with his hands behind his back .

Mr. John's words made Alexander's lip twitch , as he looked at The dean with hooded eyes . Alexander seemed to mumble something which I couldn't hear from where i was standing . He turned and headed to where Ralph was sitting , Andrea and Ivan followed behind . Now that everything is settled between the dean and Andrea's brother , all eyes are on me . I remembered I'm supposed to say something motivating as the dean asked me to .

I won't deny that this is making my palms sweaty and my throat dry , my stomach is in knots and I don't know what should I even say . This is the the first time I'm asked to say something infront of this many people . The only reason I studied with this much discipline was so that I could do something for my mom .

think something isabella, think  I said to myself .

" hello everyone" I started with my speech . The podium was a inch or 4 higher than the surface of the stage and , when I stepped a little bit back to adjust myself the worst thing which could've happened , happened .

" I'm Isa- " I fell before I could even finish saying my name . The back of my head hit the hard wooden floor of the stage and the chatter in the hall went silent , as I laid on the floor . Then laughter irrupted in the massive auditorium.

The dean and the other student Lucas who was with me on the stage ran towards me to help me get up .
" oh my goodness! Are you alright , miss Carter? You didn't get hurt anywhere , did you?"

Lucas bent down to hold me up . I then realised that I just fell in front of hundreds of people . The rush of embarrassment suddenly hit me making my heart hammer against my chest and turning my face bright red . I've never experienced such humiliation as I've never put myself in a situation where people could see me embarrass myself .

Even when i was in my previous school I didn't talk to anyone and it wasn't like people wanted to talk to me either so there was never a situation where I had any embarrassing moments . I was just a girl who's a nerd and who's dad died . People used to talk behind my back and make fun of me but that never phased me because I knew I'll find people like them everywhere I would go but this , this is quite a way to introduce yourself .

" I'm sorry -I mean thankyou , sir . I'm totally fine"
I said as I stood up and patted my skirt to clean the dust . The guy Lucas gave me a concerned look before standing up . Lucas has big brown eyes , wavy coffee brown hair and beautiful golden skin . He looks taller than me but not as much as the guys I met earlier .

" You need to be careful Ms Carter , we don't want you injured on the very first day of the school "

the dean said in a soft tone as he patted my back lightly . I smiled shyly trying to hide my embarrassment and scratched my neck .

" you should go sit down , we'll hear your words some other time " I nodded my head and started to walk to my seat beside Eva and Andrea . I didn't dare look up , I kept my gaze down .
