Chapter one: Origins

Pallet Town
- May 22nd

On the night that he was born, the moon was full, blue light emanating from it. The stars were shining so bright as if it is dancing for one of the newest life that is born on this amazing world. The Pokemon were thrilled, their shouts and celebration could be heard at night time which was highly unusual. And then the first cry of the baby was then heard. His mother and father were crying because of happiness. Their son was born into the world without any issues.

"What should we name him?" His mother asked the man that is staring at the newly born life.

"Ash, I want to call him Ash." The man was close to tears as he stares at his own kin.

"What a lovely name." The woman smiled as she embraces the fragile human in her arms.

4 Years Later

"Mom~, is it done yet? I wanna meet up with Gary soon!" A raven haired kid
is impatiently waiting for his mother to finish up whatever she is doing.

"Ashton Red Ketchum! Be patient or else i'm not going to take you Professor Oak's Ranch today." His mother scolded him, seriously though the kid needs to learn some patience.

"Ok.... I'm just really excited because I haven't seen Gary in a while now." The Raven haired boy lowered his head as he spoke in a whimpering tone.

"I know you are. But you should learn to have patience. It's not as if Apple seeds grow in the span of 10 minutes. While you're still young, patience is one crucial thing you must know. So sit still and do as I say, otherwise I'm not gonna take you to where you want to go."

"Ok mom... I'll try my best! Hehe" He smiled and giggled as he looked into his mother.

Although the Raven haired boy is only four years old, he has the personality that makes everything around him as bright as the sun. He already have intelligence beyond his age, maybe that's why he and the spoiled grandson of the Professor Oak gets along so well.

Place: Professor Oak's Ranch

"Hey Gary!!!" The raven haired boy shouted as he and his mother entered the pokemon laboratory.

"Oh, you're here Ash!" A brown haired blue eyes boy that is a few centimeters taller than him happily welcomed the pair of mother and son.

"My my, you youngsters are getting along as usual I see." A man wearing a white lab coat approached them from a room in the lab.

"Gramps, stop talking like an old man. You're embarrassing." The kid named Gary snorted at his grandfather's anthics.

"But I am old Gary." The said grandfather ended his sentence with a chuckle.

"Nevermind that Gary! Ate you excited for the upcoming summer camp?!" The boy named Ash asks excitedly.

Professor Oak's summer camp is a huge international project of the renowned professor which attracts many people in the world. It is camp with a 2 weeks time living at Oak Ranch learning all about pokemon and training to be future trainers. A lot of successful trainer attended this camp, with one of them being the one and only Champion Red of Kanto.

"Hmph! Excitement is a childish feeling. I'm merely looking forward to the pokemon battle trials that will be held during the camp." The Young Oak crossed his arms, chinned up and smirked.

"You're going to participate on the activities besides pokemon battles Gary wether you like it or not." The old professor ended his sentence with a chuckle.

"Seems like our boys can't wait." This time it was Delia Ketchum that spoke, as she cupped her own cheeks and tilted her head.

"Of course mom who wouldn't be?!" Her son answered her.
