I don't know where I'm going,
But I know what I'm showing,
Feelings, that's what I'm pouring~ I THINK (Tyler, the creator)
Mandy had, of course, said yes to this very loud very obnoxious frat party. Why I had thought she might have my back on this I don't know because she laughed for a solid two minutes when I got upstairs to our apartment to take off my hideous uniform and replace it with a lilac chiffon dress because she thought it was hilarious that I had, in fact, kneed the hottest guy on campus.
I brush my hair out of my face and lean here against the wall of this enormous house watching a group of huge guys playing flip cup and looking around for literally anyone I came here with. At that I feel a presence at my side and a red solo cup is held out to me with what looks like beer inside.
Kaiden isn't looking at me but at the crowd in front of me like we had some kind of agreement to stick together, which wasn't at all the case and i push his hand a little telling him I don't want it, thinking better than to take a drink from a strange guy at a party.
He gets a confused look on his face that I catch out of the corner of my eye before he sighs "Calm down Nancy Drew, look" he bends down and says next to my ear before raising the cup to his mouth and takes a drink "Just beer." I want to feel bad that he knows why I wouldn't accept it but at least he doesn't give me an overly hard time about it. I take the drink and press the edge of the cup to my lips where his have just been.
"Nancy Drew?" I ask him, a little amused and catch him smile behind his own drink
"Yeah, you're a bit like her." He shrugs and I look down at my dress. My cleavage was practically out. What?
"In what way?" I push him and his smile widens "I dunno. You have a whole innocent look about you. But could probably kill me." He admits and then pats his washboard flat stomach as if to make a point. He wasn't going to let that go was he?The crowd of boys scream at the top of their lungs when one side of the table wins and those around the circle stampede towards the winning side, clapping them on the back and giving them high fives. It was ridiculously hot in here, the amount of people, drunk out of their minds making the temperature of the room almost unbearable.
Kaiden pushes off the wall and moves around me "Where are you going?" I call to him because I didn't really feel like being left here again and he turns like he's surprised I'm still speaking to him "Outside. You coming?" He points the thumb of his free hand in the direction and I nod. He takes my hand like it's a second nature to him so we stay together in here. I'm mortified because I know that my palm is sweaty but he doesn't say anything, just leads me towards the back.
He slides a door open at the very back of the house where it's much quieter and there's less people. The relief I feel is immense when the door opens and the cold night air hits us in the face and he lets go of my hand. There's only a couple of other people out here, mainly girls and boys with their arms wrapped around themselves smoking cigarettes and speaking lowly.
