Chapter 17: Mr and Miss

Alicia's POV

"Johnny you dont understand being part of Mr and Miss Hill View is like THE best thing that could happen to you! Its like the biggest event in the province!" I almost yelled at him while I was making myself lunch. "I dont understand why you wana be part of it..." he said losing attention. "Because it means you are beautiful!" I basically yelled yet again. Okay im not into that whole let other determine if you are beautiful thing because everyone is beautiful its just if I could be part of this I really wouldnt mind and since I got in I really am not gona complain. "Well suck it up im already in and im not quitting now." I said as I finished my food and sat down. "So this thing is on tomorrow?" He asked. I nodded not wanted to stop eating. He nodded and carried on watching Family Guy.

"Alicia!!!!" Katie yelled into my ear. "Go away Katie" I moaned covering my face. "Ummm I cant Mr and Miss starts in 3 hours you kinda have to be there in 30 minutes." Katie said casually. I jumped up and ran to go take a shower as soon as I was done a threw on a pair of genie pants and a tank top. I jumped into the car and we drove to school

"Has anyone seen my opening outfit?" Nikki asked as she walked into the changing room. I giggled at how confused she looked. "5 minutes!" Someone yelled from the door and we all shuffled out of the room and towards our places. Uptown Funk started playing and I started doig the moves we practiced a million times, I took Calvin's hand and walked down the ramp and when I got to end I looked down at thw judges and I so wasnt expecting who I saw. "Johnny" I said softly. Calvin heard me and looked down to see Johnny sitting at the table. As soon as we ran of stage to changed for individuals Nikki and Kels grabbed my arm. "DID YOU SEE WHO IS JUDGE NUMBER 2!" Kels yelled as she jumped up and down while putting on her ear rings. "Yea I did... I didnt even know he was a judge." I answered."so our next contestant loves dancing, playing piano,tanning, shopping and spending time with her boyfriend. Her favorite food is her boyfriend's chicken pasta. Contestant number 4, Alicia May Smith" Mrs van Wyk said. I ran to the stage for my individual, when the music started I felt like I was in my element. Nothing mattered not Calvin or any adolescent drama which I was meant to give attention to all that matter was the way I moved to the music. When I was done I walked towards the table and picked a number. "Judge number....2!" Mrs van Wyk said way to enthusiastically. "Hi Alicia." Johnny said. "Hi" I said still trying to regain my breath. "Okay so my question for you is... if you had a million rand what would you do with it?" Johnny asked. I giggled a little knowing that he knew the answer, we actually had this conversation with Niall and Louis down in Cape Town. "If I had a million rand I would donate half of it to help feed kids in central Africa and the rest I will spend on clothes and shoes... I love Shoes!" I said as I laughed and so did the whole hall. I walked off stage and realized how weird that was. "Alicia can we talk?" Calvin said as I walked off stage and put on my hoodie to cover up a bit. "Not now Calvin I have to go put on my dress." I said as I pushed past him to put on my evening dress.

I ran up the stairs to the stage as quick as I could for couples evening wear. Calvin took my hand and led my on to the stage and slow daned for a minutes to All of Me the walked down the ramp. I could see the jealousy in Johnny's eyes, I smiled at the audience and walked off stage pushing past Calvin. "Lili just hear me out" he said following me. "No Cal" I said pushing past him. "ALL ON STAGE!" Someone yelled and we made our way to the stage for the final time. "The votes are in... mr and miss personality is..... Calvin Simons and Alicia Smith!" Mrs van Wyk said as we get handed our sachets. "2ed princess goes to.... Nikita Medina!" Mrs van Wyk said excitingly. "1st princess goes to.... Kelly Booth!" Mrs van Wyk said again. I was si happy for my two best friends icouldnt stop smiling. I saw Johnny smiling from ear to ear and then there was silence. "Mr and Miss Hill View High 2015 goes to.... Byron Pols and Alicia Smith!!!!" Mrs van Wyk yelled and I couldnt stop my tears. We walked down the ramp and got our crowns.

"OMG ALICIA YOU WON!!!" Katie yelled as I walked out with my hair in a messy bun and my creased clothes I threw on this morning. "Yea I did" I said as I giggled at how weird she was being. "Well done baby sis!" Luke said as he picked me up and spun me around. "Thanks Lukie" I said as he put me down. "Well done baby" I heard a sweet voice say. "OMG BABE WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME YOUR WERE A JUDGE!" I yelled as I jumped into his arms. "Im sorry babe I wasnt allowed to." He said as he out me down and the kissed me sweetly. "I forgive you though." I said as I gave him another sweet kiss.
