This Main Characters Name Is Amelia. •••••••••••••••• *Buzz* *Buzz* "Mmm...Who's up at this hour?" Amelia said half asleep while turning over to the side where her phone was buzzing uncontrollably on her nightstand. Amelia sits up from her bed and picks up her phone from her nightstand, feeling the vibrations coming from her phone. The phone stops buzzing and everything goes silent. Amelia swipes up to unlock her phone and goes to messages. She sees 10 unread messages from her best friend Olivia, Amelia taps on Olivia's message and sees 10 broken-up messages saying "Amelia! Guess what!" "I found something, I think you should come over!" "Lia?" "LIA WAKE UP!!" "Jesus Christ I can't believe you right now 😭" And so on Amelia sighs and responds with "What do you want?" "I'll come over in a bit." Amelia responds and lays back down. Amelia lays there for a while then she jumps right back up, and goes over to her dresser. She looks around her messy room and starts digging in her dresser for clean underwear, shorts, a bra, and a T-shirt. "God finally...I found something to wear." Amelia goes around looking for her shoes next, she finds one lying under her bed and the other in a corner on the other side of the room. She puts on her dirty Converse's, grabbed her bag, and ran downstairs. She turned around the corner right next to her stairs to see her dad sitting in his recliner with a white tank top on with stains all over, wearing baggy shorts with holes. He was half asleep with the TV on at full volume, his cup holder with a half-full beer sitting there. Amelia goes up to her dad and grabs a blanket near him and wraps it around him. She walks over to the kitchen and grabs herself a strawberry from the fridge and heads outside to her bike leaning against the side of the house. She grabs her bike walks it to the sidewalk and immediately jumps on it and starts riding. Amelia enjoys it when the wind is flowing through her hair and getting shivers from the windy weather. She rides her bike to Olivia's house while eating the strawberry she grabbed from the fridge. Amelia finally arrives at Olivia's house and gets off her bike and places it on the grass, Amelia knocks on Olivia's door and waits for a response. -Olivia's POV- As I'm sitting on my bed waiting for a response from Amelia I hear a knock coming from downstairs. I rush downstairs and open the door to see Amelia. "Amelia! Hey!!" I say with joy. Welcoming her into my house. -Amelia's POV- I hear someone run downstairs and immediately open the door for me. It was Olivia, she welcomed me in and we went up to her room. -Original POV- As Amelia and Olivia walk upstairs, Olivia's mother calls out for Olivia. "Olivia sweetheart, who was at the door?" Olivia's mother shouted. "It was Amelia!" Olivia responds to her mother, "Okay let me know if you guys need anything, also Amelia sweetie your welcome to anything!" Said Olivia's mother. "Okay thank you," Amelia responded. Amelia and Olivia arrived at Olivia's room, both of them sat down on Olivia's bed and talked for a while. "Hey, you said you wanted to show me something?" Amelia asked Olivia, "Oh yeah that's right! I wanted to show you this app I found called "Around the World"." Olivia responded. Amelia scooted closer to Olivia and asked her if she can open the app and tell her more about it. "It's an app where you can find abandoned stuff, dead bodies, and maybe even old crime scenes." Olivia said, "Wow, so you were thinking about riding to one of these places to see if it's real?" Amelia asked unfazed, "Well, yeah! I was hoping you would go with me." Olivia replied. "I guess so, I have nothing else better to do. Besides this shit sounds cool." Amelia said. Amelia and Olivia look around her room for a flashlight, sweaters, and a pocket knife just in case. They both go downstairs and grab some snacks from the kitchen and put some in their bags, Olivia goes up to her mom and says that she and Amelia were gonna go out for a little while and Olivia's mom let them go. Olivia and Amelia both grab their bikes and hop on, Olivia starts to pick a place to go to and she picks an old abandoned house that had many cases filed. Amelia and Olivia both agreed on going there and they started pedaling all the way there, the location was at a side of a road where no one would ever drive around. They arrived at their destination, and Olivia looks back at her phone to see where to go. Olivia says it just up ahead, they drop their bikes on the grass and start walking all the way there. It was very quiet since it was in the middle of nowhere, with trees rustling through the wind, and birds chirping. Olivia was excited to go and see what they would find, Amelia was just unfazed and wanted to get it over with but she was hiding that she wanted to see what they would find too. Olivia's phone tells her that they have arrived at their destination, Olivia looks and Amelia, and she sighs. Amelia looked back at her with a blank face waiting for them to continue and look for what was there. "Well, let's go find it. It must be close." Olivia says, Amelia and Olivia look around for something then Amelia spots an old dirty house up ahead. "Hey, Olivia! Look what I found." Amelia shouts for Olivia, Olivia rushes over to Amelia and asked her what she found. Amelia points at the house and Olivia squeals in joy, "Yes, We found it!" Olivia yells. Olivia drags Amelia to the house, Amelia trips into something and Olivia accidentally lets go. Amelia's face planted into the grass, Amelia grunted and got up on her knees. Amelia got dirt and mud on her face and she was utterly disgusted, Amelia open her eyes and realized she felt something when she fell. Amelia starts digging in the spot where she tripped and found something. Amelia was speechless, sitting there frozen. Olivia walks over to her and asks her if she's okay, Olivia looks down at where Amelia was looking and Olivia screamed as loud as she could in fear. "IS THAT A DEAD BODY?!" Olivia yelled, "I...I don't know." Amelia said quietly. Olivia covers her mouth and looks away, Amelia stands up and grabs her phone from her bag. She takes a picture and put her phone back in her bag. The body smelled like dog water with shit, Amelia covers her nose and coughed. "Ugh, Jesus let's get out of here, please. We can go to this house tomorrow." Amelia says Olivia nods her head and they start running back towards the way they came. They got to their bikes and rode back to Olivia's house in a panic, they felt scared and worried someone saw them. They arrived at Olivia's house and Olivia set her bike back into the garage, Amelia stayed on her bike. "Let's talk about this tomorrow." Amelia said worryingly, "Sounds good, I'm gonna go throw up, I love you bye." Olivia responded with a blank face. Amelia said I love you too and rode home, she arrived at her house and set her bike on the grass. She opened the door to see her dad standing in front of her, "Dad?" Amelia said while standing there frozen. "You're in big trouble, young lady." Amelia's dad said ferociously, "Dad I can explain-" but Amelia's dad grabbed her arm tightly and threw her inside the house. Amelia gasped and fell on the floor, she ran upstairs as fast as she could and got inside her room. She shut the door tightly and held it so her dad wouldn't get it. "AMELIA LET ME IN!" Amelia's dad shouted on the other side of the door, "No!" Amelia shouted back as she said that Amelia's dad started banging on the door and hitting it. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" Amelia cried waiting for her dad to stop and leave, but he didn't he kept banging and yelling for her to open the door, then it all went silent. Amelia backed away from the door slowly and quickly took her shoes off, she was thinking that he gave up but he didn't. Amelia's dad busted through the door and started screaming and yelling at Amelia for leaving without telling him, he walked up to her and hit her with a beer bottle. Amelia cried out in pain begging him to stop and he did, "Don't make the same mistake again." Amelia's dad said then walked out. Amelia was shaking in fear with tears running down her face, she went up to her mirror to see blood running down the side of her head. She was crying even more than before, she ran to the bathroom and wrapped a bandage around her head. She sobbed more and more back to her room she closed her door quietly and flopped down on her bed face first crying into her pillow. She turned her head the other way and flipped over on her back, she stopped crying and took a deep breath while whispering under her breath "I hate him so much, I wish I lived with Mom.". Amelia got out her phone and went to her photos she remember the photo she took of the dead body she and Olivia found. She clicked on the photo and was utterly disgusted again but she looked closer and the unknown body had a bag wrapped around its head with blood scattered all over, Amelia looked even closer and realized that the body was fresh it was new like he or she was just killed before they got there. -Photo- (also it's kinda gory)
