Prologue:

Hell's Kitchen. Her new home. Natalie looked up at the new apartment complex where she would be living. It was the only place that was currently at a discount, due to the rough neighborhood. She stood there for a while, holding the couple boxes of belongings she had to her name. This would be the first time she could call a place her own. It would take some decorating, but she knew in time, it could be home. Sighing nervously, she made her way inside, taking the elevator to the top floor. As she emerged, she looked at the slightly battered and narrow hallway. Even with its worn down look, the new scenery brought a smile to her face. Unlocking the door to her apartment, she was met with emptiness. Emptiness that she could hopefully fill. She had movers coming in shortly, adding some basic furniture she got from a liquidation site. With the bills of school, and the cost of living, it wouldn't be fancy. Natalie didn't really care though. Once the movers had arrived they added her new furniture. The bed and couch were from the liquidation site. The TV and TV stand however, she stole from her mom. Her mom was never around to even notice, or use it. A parting gift she would call it. She didn't have any dressers, but she was fortunate enough for the apartment to have a closet, surprisingly with hangers already in it. As night was falling near, she wanted to take it in, the fact that she was able to get away. Make something of her life, where she didn't have her mom hanging over her shoulders. Wanting fresh air, Natalie made it outside of her apartment and towards the roof. It was a fresh start, but little did she know the things that would be in the near future. She didn't know the man next door would change her life.
