 *The Present*

"The Princess loved the Mercadir, who had eyes of deep, deep gray.

The Mercadir thought she was demure and sweet,

Like the sun on a winter's day.

The Princess said to the King, 'Dear Father, This ogre, so tall, I truly must meet!'

So the King arranged for The Princess, Ro,

To marry on a day most fair

The Mercadir mostly known as Bo,

While tornadoes whipped their spiky hair," sang Ro.

She was wearing a sparkly pink leotard with a pink tassel skirt. Her hair was dyed the same shade of pink and her nails were painted with pink sparkly nail polish. Biana had even helped Keefe force Ro to wear pink sparkly eye shadow and hot pink lipstick!

I am going to kill Keefe, Ro thought with a death glare directed at Keefe, while she did the step ball-change into a slide Keefe had told her she must do when she sang, "They kissed under the bower of sweet smelling roses..."

I don't think it was worth the humiliation... Ro thought as she remembered why she had agreed to perform the Ballad of Bo and Ro, in front of all of Keefe's friends and anyone else he could convince to come. This sadly that meant Bo, her husband-he was only her husband because her father, King Dimitar, had forced her to marry him-was there to accompany his charges Linh and Tam Song.

Ro thought back to the conversation that had led to her singing on stage and wondered if it was really worth it...

*A Week Earlier*

Ro had been painting her nails - a lovely shade of blood red - and watching Keefe drawing a picture of a gulon-a very stinky creature you never want to get too near.

Ro asked, "Why are you drawing a gulon?"

"Because, I am drawing what happened during The Great Gulon Incident!" Keefe replied.

"I thought you said you had nothing to do with it?"

"Did I say I did? No! I just said I am drawing what happened during The Great Gulon Incident, the most epic prank in history, which I had absolutely nothing to do with," Keefe said, with emphasis on the word nothing and a very cheeky grin.

Privately Keefe thought, My finest accomplishment! And one I will never admit to be a part of.

"If you think anyone believes that, you must have had your mind eaten by vermilion!" Ro said with a disbelieving expression, "I demand to know what actually happened in The Great Gulon Incident, instead of just hearing how epic it was and how much you weren't involved."

"No way! Foster would kill me! She has been begging to hear about The Great Gulon Incident for ages and if I told you before her, she would never forgive me!" Keefe argued.

"Well, if that is the only problem, hail her and tell her to come over at once because you have something of great importance to tell her about: The Great Gulon Incident!" Ro said with a dramatic hand gesture. "Or your unresolved feelings...also an option just saying..."

"Well, I guess that problem is solved. However, I still couldn't just tell you the story for free! You would have to promise me something...like one ultimate dare!" Keefe decided.

"I agree to your terms, but you only get one week to decide on your dare, if you haven't decided in a week I don't have to do it. Ro said with determination.
