"Arey arey yahan mat baitho... Ye seat kisi aur ki hai...", a girl said as she saw a boy, dressed in a white short length kurta over a blue jeans. He adjusted his spects all nervously. His face was exuding innocence.
"Par... Ye college hai... Election ni ki jo jeeta seat uski...", Anuj said.
"Very funny... But ye seat jiski hai na... Use pata chala to tumhe election me to kya... Apne pairon par bhi khada nhi rehne degi... Aur tum naye ho na class me!? To naye ban ke raho na!! Uske saath koi panga nahi leta!!", she warned.
"Baat pange ki nahi hai... Par jo pehle aaya seat uski... Usme naya student kya aur puraana kya? Aur ye jiski seat hai vo yahan hai bhi nai... unhe seat chahiye to khud pehle aana chahiye... And as far as I can see... There are no fixed seats here!", Anuj questioned. "Vaise kiski hai ye seat!?"
He was about to place his bag there.
"MERI!"
He heard a voice and she placed her heel on the seat. He glanced at her legs, jeans covered slender ones and her baby pink chikan kurta reached her knees. She rested her one palm on the desk and other on her waist. He looked at her hands soft and slender with nails painted in black and fingers adorned with classic diamond rings. Hair tied in a high pony with flicks covering her temples. Her nose pierced and a ring slipped in. The deep neck kurta with no dupatta. She looked terrific and bossy with her bold black eyeliner and the makeup that enhances the image.
She slipped her bag onto there.
"Ye... Meri seat hai...!!", she said all bossily.
"Aapki tareef!", Anuj asked.
"Jitni marzi kar lo...".
Other students laughed.
"Dekhiye miss... Aap jo bhi hai-".
"Ye JO BHI naam... Mujhe pasand nahi aaya... I love my own name!", she said proudly.
"Aur kya hai aapka naam??", Anuj asked.
"Anupamaa... Anupamaa Merchant!!", she said proudly.
"Oh... Hi... Nice to meet you... Mera naam-"
"Mujhe koi interest ni hai tumhara naam jaanne me... Apna naam apne pass rakho and just move from here!!", she commanded.
"Okay but I came here first... I want to sit here... And I can... That's the rule", he argued.
"You can! But you won't! Because that's my rule and I... Set the rules of this classroom, Mr. Whosoever!!", she taunted.
"Dekhiye aap aise nahi kar sakti hain... Ye galat hai... Ye classroom hai aur sabko baraabar ka chance milna chahiye... Aur -"
"Seems like the lecture has already started guys!! Say good morning to the Professor!!", Anupamaa said stuffing her finger in her ear and shaking it as if bored while others laughed again.
She slipped on the seat placing her bag on the bench.
"Dekhiye... Main theek se baat kar raha hoon aapse aur aap hain ki...", Anuj tried reasoning but she rolled her eyes and started humming. He knew it's futile to waste time with her. "Nevermind!"
He tried occupying the seat beside her and she set her foot on that chair.
"I said I set the rules here...!!", Anupamaa raised her voice."Dekhiye ab aapka bahut ho raha hai! Main decently behave kar raha hoon to aap badtameezi kar rahi hain mere saath!! Aap abhi ke abhi pair hataayengi yahan se apna nahi to...!!", Anuj frowned pointing at her feet.
