Chapter 3: The funeral/The goodbye

Today was the big day. Today was her parents funeral. She fought so hard to not cry right now. Honestly she had no clue what to say to people. She stood in front of her mirror and looked at herself. Elena thought I can do this, don't break and it'll be okay. She put on the black dress and did her hair up and put her earrings in. She stood in front of the mirror when she heard a familiar voice. Elena turned around and looked at Gray. She went over and hugged him and he hugged her back. Gray kept hugging Elena "I'll be here if you need a supporting hand Elena.." Elena nods and steps back "Let's just go and get it out of the way.." Gray nods and went out the door and down the stairs and Elena follows after him.

Elena was standing near the front with her family Lynn, Gray, and Kyle. She nodded as people told her how sorry they were for her lost. Elena step up to give the speech for her parents "Thank you for coming everyone..as you all know my parents died in a tragic car accident and some how I managed to survive..I'm grateful that I'm still here but my parents are gone. I will truly miss their laughs and smiles. The way the joked around with Aunt Lynn and the thing I will miss is just waking up to them telling me it's time for school and once I came down they had breakfast ready. I know they will be in a better place and I'm sure they are smiling down as their closes friends came here to join in their remembrance. I just want to thank you all again and may God be with you." She walked away and allowed people to lay roses on their grave. Shortly after it became my turn to lay my rose on the ground. Elena kneel down and laid the rose on the freshly dug grave and that's when she cried.

Lucy quickly walked up and wrap her arms around Elena as she cried and then everyone else did soon after. She hated the fact that she broke down in front of everyone but it just happened. Elena told everyone that she was going to head home and sleep it off and that they will see her later if they chose too. She headed to her car and drove home. Elena got out of the car and headed inside and went to her room locking the door. She buried her face into her pillow and cried which eventually felt like hours but it was only half an hour. By the time she was done crying, she was tired and she went right to sleep. Around the hour of midnight is when she woke up because of her stomach so she headed down stairs to get something to eat. Elena at her food after warming it up and went back upstairs to go back to sleep. After that it was a peaceful evening and a stir of dreams.
