Days, weeks, months passed and the winter season arrived. It was the start of the holidays and to everyone's surprise, snow covered the Hogwarts Grounds. Grinning student were getting ready to depart and visit Hogsmeade.

One of them was Harry and his group of friends. The beaming Gryffindors were dressing up and talking about their trip. Making their way to the village, they chatted and laughed, excited about Christmas.

Harry was one of the few staying behind in school while the others would be visiting their homes tomorrow. Even Ron was leaving him here. However, it didn't bother him at all. Some alone time was exactly what he needed.

Entering one of the shops, they bought whatever looked yummy and switched to another store where they did the same.

"Every time I'm here, it sure doesn't disappoint me!" Ron laughed and took a bite out of his just recently bought chocolate, eating it hungrily with a satisfied smile on his face. "You only say that because of the food here. Like it's the only thing you think about," Hermione huffed annoyed.

"That's not true!" Ron disagreed after taking a last bite and finishing his chocolate. "You're the only thing I think about!" His girlfriend smiled at his reply and engulfed him in a long hug. They both shared a passionate kiss while Harry watched in horror. "Get a room you two. You just ruined my appetite," he complained and looked away. His friends laughed in response and continued where they left off.

After wandering around for another hour, the three found a comfortable and warm bar where they got seated and ordered something to drink.

Sipping from his glass, Harry wasn't too interested in the conversation as he stared out the window. The landscape was white and sometimes a student would walk by.

Just then someone caught his eye.

It was Malfoy accompanied by his two loyal friends, looking more like bodyguards. He watched them curiously as they exchanged a few words. After the trio stopped opening their mouths, they decided to move to another place, somewhere far from Harry's sight.

That got him even more interested in the Slytherins, so he made his decision to follow them. Excusing himself, he stood up and marched towards the door. Outside, he looked around and once his gaze landed on the suspicious looking trio, he stealthy followed in their footsteps.

They wandered through the buildings to the end of the village where not a single soul was in sight. Getting seated on a snow covered bench, they began chatting and Harry decided he had seen enough and was about to turn around and leave. As if on cue, Blaise and Pansy stood up and said goodbye to Malfoy who remained in his seat.

Thankfully, they took a different path back to the castle and Harry didn't have to move from his hiding spot behind a house. Why was Malfoy here left alone? Why didn't the three of them all go together?

He glanced at the blond who unexpectedly sighed and closed his eyes, seeming tired. His hands were crossed in front of his chest as he comfortably leaned against the cold bench.

Nothing happened for a few seconds and the raven boy was about to leave. He realized that following Malfoy almost every time he saw him and he looked suspicious was maybe a bit weird. Thankfully, no one had found out yet. Especially not the said person sitting on the bench.

Harry took a few steps back when he suddenly heard a voice.

"Stop right there. Don't even think about escaping," the voice stated and the Gryffindor recognized it as Malfoy's. He froze and panic overtook him. How could he have found out? When did he spot him? And how long was he aware of his presence? Should he make a run for it? Rather not.

Taking a deep breath, Harry marched towards the Slytherin still seated on the bench and quickly thought of an excuse. "I-," he started, but was cut off. "Shut up and sit down." Shocked, he blinked a few times and then sat down next to him. The snow was cold and definitely not comfortable. How could he have sat here for so long? Did it not bother him in the slightest?

"Look, I don't know why you've been following me and my friends, but cut it out. It's kind of weird," Draco declared and gave him a warning look. Harry was about to tell him he wasn't and it was all just a misunderstanding, but the blond continued and averted his gaze.

"Also, I've been wanting to talk to you about something. Meet me in the prefect bathroom tomorrow at 11 pm. I'm sure you know where that is. By then most of the other students should be gone, so it shouldn't be that hard to sneak out unnoticed," Malfoy announced and stood up, planning to walk away after saying his part.

"Wait, why do you want to meet me there? And what do you even want to tell me?!" he inquired, confused by his enemy's calmness and unusual behavior. But Draco paid him no mind and walked away without looking back and answering any of his questions.

Harry was left alone at the bench, confused and speechless and especially with his questions unanswered. Running his hand through his hair in annoyance, the raven stood up as well and made his way back to his friends who probably already waited for him, wondering what was taking him so long.

The white sky was covered in snowflakes which were falling down and usually landing on the ground. However, one of them chose to fall on Draco Malfoy and land on his red nose. The blond hadn't noticed it yet and continued his way to the castle. His pink cheeks weren't only because of the cold. While strolling, he thought about what he told Potter and his blush grew.

He had waited for this moment for a long time and after throughly planning it out it was time to execute it.
