Tutoring

"Y/N, we're getting you a tutor for math." Your mom says.

"Mom, I got a good score on the standardized test.." You groan. She gives you a paper, the score: 425.

"You need to get 500." You sigh. Typical parents.

"When are we starting?"

"Today."

"Wait what? Mom! I'm going to a party today!"

"Oh, whoops." Your mom nervously laughs.

"Ugh."

"You can go right after tutoring, Y/N"

"Thanks mom." You roll your eyes behind her.

*TIME SKIP*

*Ding Dong*
"Y/N, it's your tutor!" You open the door to see a young man wearing a red flannel.

"Hi, I'm Mark, you must be Y/N."

"Yeah, hi." You shake his hand. There's something about him...

"He's the smartest kid in your school." Your mom says, smiling at Mark.

You turn around and whisper to your mom.

"Huh? Uh.. How did you know about this?" You were a little freaked out how she knew the smartest person in the whole high school..

"It's because his mom is my best friend." Your mom says quickly, turning around to greet Mark.

"Huh." You go back to your room and decided to brush your hair.

"Y/N! I'm going to the store to buy some groceries. I'll be back soon!" The door closes. You walk out of the room and sit in the dining room with Mark.

"Your name is Y/N, right?"

"Yeah! Nice to meet you, Mark!"

You guys started working on Pre-Calculus, then after a while all you guys did was talk and watch movies together.

*TIME SKIP TO A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER*

"Mark!!" You hug him when he walks through the door. Out of the corner of your eye, you see his cheeks turn rosy red. You giggle silently.

"Y/N, hey!" Mark said, his face warming up. You guys did the usual. Finish homework, then watch movies. Mark was sweating, about to tell you something big. You could tell, the way he fidgeted his fingers and his forebears with sweat. You shrugged it off though. You admire the way his hair was placed, and his big deep brown eyes. You smile to yourself. He's one big cute teddy bear.

You guys head to the couch to watch some movies.

"Uh, Y/N?"

"Yeah? What is it Mark?"

"Well... It's just that.. I really like you. Ever since we were in pre-calc, the way your eyes sparkle with determination, your smile and giggle always brighten up someone's day, and the way-" you interrupt him with a kiss.

"I love you too", you hug him and both of you cuddle with each other the rest of the day watching sappy romance movies.
