chapter 18

-two weeks after camping-

*Vanessa's POV*

I was all intertwined with Sam so, it was a struggle, but I managed to get my phone. 8:00am. I began to shake Sam awake. Then his tired eyes opened and looked at me.

"Morning sleepy head" I said

"No" he groaned and rolled over

"Come on it's time to get up" I said sitting on my knees.

"It's time for bed" he said as he pulled me over him and between the wall and him.

"Nooo I wanna get up" I whinnied

"Fine, princess." He said going over to his bathroom

Then my phone ranged.

"Hello?" I asked

"Hi this Californias hospital. I am sorry to tell you this, but your dad, Nick Speicher, is about to die. So we will like to ask you to come up and say your finally goodbyes." A male said

(Sorry for interrupting but I forgot the dads name so IG its nick)

"Um-what is he uh dying from?" I covered my mouth as I quietly cried.

"He has cancer." Then I hung up and ran out of Sam's house.

I hurried in my car and sped to the hospital running stop lights. I made it there and ran to the front desk crying.

"W-what room numbber is he- Nick Speicher--- in" I barely got out

"B214" the male voice on from the  phone call said.

I ran straight to the room it was only me, Reinzo, and my barely breathing dad.

"I love you- I'm gonna let your daughter talk now" Reinzo exited

"Daddy- i-i love you. I don't want you to go- You can't leave me. Dad your the only thing keeping me alive- dad please don't leave me." I chocked

"I love you! I love you! I love you!" I repeated as I sat on the floor.

"I....love..you baby." The machine had a long beep and nurses ran in.

I started to bawl my eyes out. I have no one left.
