Beginning of chapter 3- War of Expansion

2 Years before Reformation ends.

Aidan Zak walked towards the military recruitment center as he wished to join the military. As he entered, he would be greeted by a rather long line, mainly due to him being born and is currently living in Zabaion and being the capital city of the Union of the Star had a huge population. After a few hours of waiting he would reached the front counter, heading in his paperwork he would wait for a few seconds before the receptionist spoke. "15 year olds are not allowed to join the army." The receptionist said to Aidan. Aidan did indeed look like a 15 year old due to unknown reasons, aggravated he would pull out his birth certificate and put it on the desk revealing he was actually 25 years old. Since the reformation started crime rates dropped to non existent which included forgery so there was no way Aidan birth certificate could be fake. The receptionist took a look at the birth certificate and after seeing he was not 15 he looked at the paperwork Aidan provided. "Alright you can go through." The receptionist said a few minutes later. Aidan took all his paperwork and the birth certificate and went through the doors nearby. After going through the doors he would go through a physical exam before fully joining the military. He would begin his training immediately afterwards.

Typical training for the military usual takes seven years before they're assigned to a unit, then they continue training to keep up to date with the military. Aidan however went in and was proceeding at a very rapid pace, passing every training exercise first try, even those that those who  excelled in training took a while to complete, Aidan completed them with ease. Aidan would completely his military class and training in two years instead of the typical seven years. Aidan would be assigned to unit one of the thirty five units in the Union of the Star's military. Shorty later the government declared an end of the reformation era and that an expansion era had begun which brought worries to other planets.

A few weeks after reformation ended, the government declared war on the nearby planet The Republic of Kribion  and began moving forces towards the planet with unit one being the first to headed towards the planet. Some planets immediately started preparing their military incase of war with the Union of the Star. The super destroyer which had been named The Shooting Star was with unit one. Union of the Star forces would land on the planet surface as destroyer's battle above the planet. Kribion forces were prepared for the invading forces but didn't have a significant number of soldiers compared to the Union of the Star. Unfortunately for the Union of the Star, their forces were being hammered down by Kribion forces as they put up much resistance. Unit one was stuck in place fighting the kribion forces while waiting for backup from other units. After a few hours of fighting the commander of unit one ordered a retreat, all troops began heading towards the transport destroyers to evacuate the area except Aidan. Shortly after the retreat had been called, Aidan decided that defeat wasn't an option and began running towards the enemy while shooting, a move that wasn't taught in the military. "AIDAN GET BACK HERE!" The commander yelled towards Aidan. Aidan didn't listen as he reached the enemy line he had his sword withdraw from the pistol which had been added by the military for close combat. Soon after Aidan began striking enemy forces with his sword, other troops from his unit started charging towards the enemy line, eventually the commander followed through. Aidan would be knocked down to the ground but the commander struck the enemy troop with his sword before he could kill Aidan. Soon the Kribion forces retreated with Union of the Star troops following. More units landed on the planet's surface forcing more and more retreats of Kribion forces. Soon the capital city was under siege, Union of the Star began to move forces to go around the city so it could be surrounded and captured easier. Soon the capital was captured eventually forcing Kribion to surrender and be annexed by the Union of the Star.

Shortly after the war with Kribion Aidan would be called into the Grand Commander office. Aidan commander and the admiral was also there. "Do you know why I called you here Aidan Zak?" The Grand Commander said. "No sir, I do not know why I'm here." Aidan responded with. "I called you here because that move you did during the invasion of Kribion had received huge recognition by the military and public, I like to congratulate you for showing true strength of our military and also for showing changes that the military can make to its training, also I would like to promote you to captain of the Shooting Star if you want to take the role." The Grand Commander told Aidan. Aidan was shocked by this at first but after a few minutes he would speak. "I will take this role with great responsibility sir." "Good because the old captain got himself killed in the invasion." The Grand Commander responded with. The admiral and Aidan's commander congratulated Aidan as he walked out to make his way to the Shooting Star.

Soon wars erupted all across the dimension with planets declaring war on the Union of the Star or with planets that planned on allowing annexation of themselves. Some planets fell into civil wars as supporters of the Union of the Star fought against people who were against annexation. The Union of the Star did not get involved in most civil wars. Most civil wars did end with annexation supporters winning over the planet and joining the union. The civil war in the Deriknia Federation would led to the government sending a message to allied nation the Legion of Mahanakina which was near the core planet to attack the Union of the Star while they crush it's supporters in the civil war. The Union of the Star's government intercepted the message and without even debate the council declared war on the two nations. Union of the Star troops would begin landing on the planets and began fighting the two nations. The capital of the Deriknia Federation would be swiftly captured as separatist had already made great progress towards the city. The leader would be found dead in his office and soon it became clear he killed himself after seeing Union of the Star troops landing on the planet. The Legion of Mahanakina would be quickly overrun as it's military was insufficient due to the nation wanting to negotiate an alliance to keep it's sovereignty instead of preparing for war. The Deriknia Federation would fall a few weeks later.

As the Union of the Star annexed other planets it military would grow due to the added population. More and more wars were breaking out as nations kept trying to keep their sovereignty. Unfortunately the Union of the Star was growing too strong for any nation to fight for it's sovereignty. Some nations tried to invade the core planet but their destroyers were unable to break through the Union of the Star defense forces that surrounded the planet. After three years of wars the remaining planets surrendered and were annexed and the wars were ended. The Union of the Star had gone from controlling one planet to all 5,395 planets in the dimension. Soon after the war of expansion ended other nations in other dimensions began to notice the new nation. The Dark Star Empire, which was the strongest nation, took huge notice to the new nation, especially to it's growing power. This brought concern within the empire's government officials about it's control over the conquered territories it had aquire over years of wars. The Dark Star Empire decided to shift it's focus of preparing for conquest of another nation to preparing to destroy the Union of the Star before it's growing power inspires territories to revolt against the empire's leadership and foreign nations to began allying themselves with others against the Dark Star Empire.
