Its been hours.....

Its been SEVERAL hours...

LITERAL sweat and tears... maybe even blood was poured into this stupid test of Sanemi's. Legs trembling, shaky hands, clattering teeth stood _____.

Sanemi stood infront of them without a single sweat on him.

He stood like it was a normal day for him. As if nothing happend.

"Haaagghh... HAAFghhhh...*gulp*"
______ fell on their knees and gasped for air.

"Ar-"
Before Sanemi could say anything, _____ gasped for air again.

"HAAAHGH.... HAAghhh....ugghh"

Long silence....

"Are you do-"

"HAAAGH-"

"COULD YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
Sanemi screamed out, hitting _____ in the head.

"Yeowch!"
_____ yelped in pain.

"What was that for?"

Sanemi sighed deeply before speaking

"Before you rudely interupted me, I was trying to say that the test is over."
He stated calmly.

_____'s eyes shined bright with a dopey smile that said 'finally!'
Relieved at the fact the test was over, they sighed happily in piece. Thanking god internally because they couldn't mentally nor physically handle it anymore.

"Hey hey hey, why are you smiling as if you passed?"

Time stopped for a moment for _____.

"W-what..?"
Gasped out _____.

The euphoria they felt a moment ago quickly left at Sanemi's proclaim.
With no words nor thoughts in their head, they could only sit there, absolutely dumbfounded.

But slowly and surely they regained their conciousness by putting puzzle pieces together in their head, trying to decipher what Mr.Shinazugawa just said.

However, it is quite clear, and blatantly so to know what Sanemi meant.

In a few seconds, _____'s mind finally put one and one together and figured out with a ding in their head.

It seems the test took a toll on their thinking process.

"Wh... d-does that mean I?"
_____ asked meekly not finishing their question. But even so, Sanemi knew what they're going to ask.

"Failed? Yes."

"Wha..."
With a breath that they unconciously gasped out, they felt emotions that sat at the pit of their stomach. Eyebrows furrowing slightly, corners of the lips tugged down, the pupils of the eyes shrinks.

There was a long silence between Sanemi and _____.

But _____ already accepted the truth during the silence. Even though they dreaded at the thought of failing, they knew there was a chance they could fall into that percentage.

With a heavy sigh, _____ got up, dusted their clothes and headed towards the exit. Head hung low they couldn't help but feel disapointment leaking inside their heart. The amount of training they got from Shinobu, the chance of reuniting with Sanemi, the week worth of begging to become his tsuguko went down the drain just like that.

Is this defeat? Huh.... what an unpleasent feeling... well, atleast theres nothing else to loose than this.
Thank god this is over...

With _____ nearing the shoji door they felt a sudden hand on their wrist.

_____'s eyes widen in shock and turned their head to look at the person.

"Hey shrimp did I say you could leave?"
Sanemi stood with full confidence .

"But you said that if I fail..."

"Yea yea that I wont give you another chance? Well I changed my mind."

"HAH?"

"Yes you did fail, yes I did promise that I wont give you another chance but who gives a shit?"

"You made that promise."
_____ deadpanned, not believing what they're hearing.

"Yea I made that promise but I can also break it. So, who gives a shit?"
Sanemi said with his bottom lip tugged upward.

"So....does this mean?"

"UGH YES! It means Im making you my tsuguko! Take a hint with your microscopic brain!"
Sanemi yelled out annoyedly.

_____ jaw slacked right open. This time their brain processed what Sanemi was saying in a matter of seconds. Without a moment to spare, they ran to Sanemi in a hug.

"Hey! What!-"

Squeezing the wind pillars body tightly, they let out a tiny sniffle.

With a disgusted look in Sanemi's face he reluctantly hugged them back.(when i meant hug i mean just an arm around their body)

"Okay! Thats enough!"

Sanemi pushed ______ away quickly. Wiping away their tears they thanked Sanemi quietly.

"Yea yea whatever, now scram! Our business here is done."
With that Sanemi turned away and walked back into his estate. It was also _____'s time to go home aswell. They steered their body and started to walk away from the Wind Estate.

Suddenly a voice yelled out to them.

"Hey ____! Tomorrow same time,same location! I will NOT be easy on you! So sleep well!"

_____ nodded their head with a determined look on their face. They waved goodbye and left swiftly.

Walking back home was a relief, it felt like a pile of rocks completely fell away from their shoulder. With a relaxed sigh they visioned themself to be an up and coming demon slayer.

But in order to do so, they have to work hard and give everything they got.
Its not easy, but they will give it a shot.
