Chapter 3: OH MY LORD!

Park (Friday)
P.O.V. Mariah

Since today was "ditch school" I asked August if she wanted to go to the park.

"Hey August want to go to the park?"

"Uh yeah!" She responded grabbing three bags of chips. "Lets go get geo and Carter!" She added.

So we walked over to geo house and told him to put on his shoes cause we were going to the park. As we walk there August calls Carter.

"Hey babe, what you doing?"

"UM ..nothing August I'm really busy I have to go"

"Well that was a short call, what he said" I asked being noisy.

"He said he really busy and that he had to go!" She said in a mocking way.

We walked over to the swings and August made geo pushed her. I obviously can't cause I'm to short and skinny and she could accidentally kick me and I'll be dead, well that's what she says. As I walk over to the swings next to her I see somebody with a really bright neon orange shirt. It caught my attention and I really wanted to see who it was. When I look closer it was Carter. I was going to tell that he was here until I saw a girl dressed up all fancy. Carter wrapped his hand around her waist and I gasp. I ran to August and asked if we can leave.

"Umm...a-au-August, I think we should just leave like now!!" As I started to try and block Carter not having him get busted.

"Why we just got here, and I'm not leaving until you tell me what's wrong cause you're stuttering to much!" She said making me sweat even more. I had no choice but to tell her instead I just moved to the side and let her see it herself.

P.O.V. August

I was a little confused on why Mariah just walked to the side and didn't say nothing. I saw to people kissing but one of them caught my eyes with its bright neon shirt. It kinda look familiar, until I realized it was Carter kissing another girl. I saw how he'd hand laid against his chest and his hand wrapped around her neck, but the kiss...the kiss seemed so real like they meant it!

"Come on August he not even worth the time!" Said geo as she trys to pull me away.

"Let me go!" I pulled away and ran up to Carter, trying to hold my tear.

When I got to Carter I pushed him away from the girl he was kissing and said "SO THIS IS WHY YOU WERE SO BUSY!?"

"No it's not what it looks like August!" He respond back trying to hold my hands together.

"Just save it to yourself Carter, your anyways just like your dad, I knew I should have left you 2 years ago!" I said knowing that he hates it when people tells him that. But I didn't care I wanted him to know the pain I had, but mine was way worse than his.
