Taehyun insisted no one read any of the books he had been writing for the years he started to compile them until he died. That was quite a depressing promise to make, but his confidants all wanted to respect his wishes.

It rained endlessly since that day he revealed to Bahiyyih he was expecting to die. Some rumoured the old man was feeling moody because of it, but no one wanted to bother him.
Bahiyyih was collecting books in the little library they had created, anxious to reshelf the limited books they owned that the children had strewn about the tables and floors. As she bent to grab the books littered on the ground, another hand scooped up the last one and placed it on the pile she made on the table. When she raised her head, she was greeted by Minhyun, smiling kindly at her.
Gratefully, she murmured a word of thanks, and together they began shelving. "Are you okay?" Minhyun suddenly asked, "You're looking a little unwell."
Bahiyyih froze, then her shoulders drooped, "Everyone's taking Taehyun's news so well. Just not me, hm?"
Minhyun was quiet for a bit, then he said, "It's understandable, you know. You were the closest to him."
Smiling cheekily at the blissful memories, Bahiyyih said, "I'll never forget the day he kidnapped us."
Sighing and shaking his head in mock disappointment, Minhyun replied, "I can't believe you'd call him a kidnapper."
They continued to work soundlessly, until all the books were back in place. As Minhyun opened the door for Bahiyiih, out of the blue, she said, "I wonder if anyone here misses being gifted."
Before Minhyun could even process the question, her solemn expression melted into a mischievous one, "Now, should we try and find the kids' snack stash? They'll have a fit if we hide it somewhere else."
AN: Here the ages of Bahiyyih and Minhyun are a little funky here. Just imagine that they're maybe both around 20+ here, while Taehyun is ancient. Does that make sense? Nope. But i didn't plan to make it make sense
