Here's a thought, I watched football because my student asked me too. For a long time I was under the impression that I don't understand the game. For the matter of fact, there is nothing much to understand anyway.
What I saw were faces that has turned reddish-pink from all the aggression that they throw at each other.
What made me laugh was when players tried to hit the ball with their heads when it is a FOOTball. Is that a fashion? Is that how cool people do things?
Banging heads , pushing bodies trying to snatch the ball at every passing moment has filled the game. It is almost annoying to watch the 'Omphs!' and 'Ahs!'
Some times you get the feeling that players might be just acting. you know, so the other team gets the penalty. But you can never know , what's the reality. All we are left with are assumptions and replays.
Guess these are the things that makes it attractive!
