Just a bodyguard

First meeting.

After i went through a kidnapping full of torture and fear , police managed to find me back . My mother had a full time job but during that time she barely managed to take one paper concerning her work in between her fingers . She barely slept .

My mom was an old agent from shield that retired when she got pregnant , she made friends and made a good one named Maria hill . Maria heard about what happened and after that she proposed to help Emilie my mom to find someone that could be more efficient than cops following me everywhere . That's where Natasha comes in the plan and meet her future friend who need a lot of protection , me .

- E : you're gonna be late for school honey ! Plus come down there's someone I want you to see !

Hmm , someone .. other than the good cops coming to me one by one to let me know they'll protect me through the whole day I don't see who .. i lost my dad when I turned 13 he was suffering from lungs cancer spreading around his body dangerously, I don't have friends I don't have a life outside , so it was definitely a friend of my mom .

I finish dressing up putting on a loose black and light grey long sleeve shirt , with sweatpants I keep my hair down and put on my shoes , I take my empty bag pack only having a note book for each classes ..
and come down
Ready to meet my moms friend .

- N : it's ok
- E : hmm - oh there she is ! Hi sweetie

My mom says as I smile slightly at her , it has been now a month and a half since the kidnapping... I've been going to therapy the first three weeks and dropped last week secretly .
I still had nightmares , and things were still a struggle but more I talked about it harder it was for me to enjoy other things ..

The peoples that kidnapped me were old ex workers in my dad's job , my dad was a good and respected boss but he wouldn't keep at work peoples who didn't want to respect him and their coworkers.
Even tho they knew my dad died years ago they still decided to act up and take me to make my mom's life a nightmare since there was only her and I left ..

- E : Amelia this is Natasha , Nat this is Amelia my daughter
- N : nice to meet you Amelia
- A : hello

I simply say looking at the woman standing next to my mom looking up and down at her discreetly trying to figure out a bit of everything on my own but my mom makes it short

- E : since what happened you have cops at our door and behind you everyday and I can tell it's harder -
- A : mom -
- E : I know it's -.. Natasha will work for us , for your protection now ... she'll be like your body guard and if you allow it you two can even be friends -
- A : my whole life will be based on what happened mama ? .. I already have you and the cops I do NOT need a body guard and even less a friend ! -
- E : well I tried - hey ! I'm talking

I grunt feelin her tap my arm as I keep walking toward the door to take my jacket

- E : Amy I tried and it is more serious than that alright?? I have - to go back to work I have to protect you I have to keep going with my life -
- A : fine mom , " whatever you say goes "

I simply say looking at her sighing quietly

- A : im sorry i made it hard , now If you're to bring me to school too we're really going to be late and it's 20 minutes away by foot

I say looking at Natasha who .. smirks ? And walks to me taking my bag from the floor

- N : come on big girl

I frown my eyebrows walking out slowly and close the door of my house taking my keys absolutely not wanting to forget them .
I slightly freeze seeing this huge black car parked in front of my porch and look at Nat then at it again

- A : that's your working car ?
- N : get in you're getting us late

I walk to it slowly and push my hair behind my ear looking around me naturally before getting inside , I touch the inside of the door seeing the details on it as I look back toward the wheel seeing Nat start the car

- A : you -
- N : seatbelt .

Hmm why do I have a feeling this one is going to be worse than the cops ? , I don't talk and look behind me taking my seatbelt and put it on letting her drive us to the car .
I can't help but play with my fingers through the whole time in my head counting them in order than disorder having found this distraction from overthinking on the internet ..
I could feel Natasha look at me a few times but I don't look back and keep looking out of the window , tho my heart drops when I see she didn't stop at the parking as i immediately look at her

- A : you - you missed the parking !
- N : relax Amelia -
- A : don't - the school is here - where are you taking me !?-

I say and by reflex immediately put my hand on the handle of the door

- N : Amelia !- hey stop there's a parking here - look !!

Natasha says quickly pulling aside and indeed there was a parking closer to the door of the school tho it was.. private .
I exhale shakily holding tightly the handle of the door and wait for her to stop the car to take off my seatbelt

- N : you want to get us killed ?- hey I'm talking to you !

She says gripping my wrist quickly seeing I was walking out as I immediately sit back in and look at her tensing fully

FLASHBACK :

- A : No - MOM !! HELP ME !!-
- ?? : where do you think you're going Huh ?-

A man says gripping my arms and pushing me back in the weird and cold cave .

END OF THE FLASHBACK .

- N : there's no running out of the car while I'm driving , are we clear ?
- A : yes - yeah I'm sorry

I say quickly nodding looking in her eyes , god stop Amelia she's just supposed to be here to protect you !! You were about to jump out of the car and ruin her life as well - you ruin everyone's life already stop for once .

Natasha let go off of him and walk out with me taking my bag from the backseats .
We both walk to the entry of the school as I take my bag and look around then back at her

- N : I'll be here at 5 pm
- A : ok .. yeah

I mumble nodding and walk to the school looking down and putting my hands in my pockets playing with my keys .. it's just another day back in a normal life
