Chapter 2

"I've made a mistake Zigs"
For the whole bus ride to school, Julie kept going on about how she had made a fool of herself in front of Ben Johnson because of the voicemails. She only stopped when Kelly Davies stepped onto the bus.
Kelly Davies is one of those popular kids who think they own the school. She made Julie shiver. She always wore too much make up that made her look like a clown and her skirt was always way too high. She wasn't shy at all unlike Julie and she could pull as many boys as she wanted. Julie, Fran and Zigs still thinks that she pays them.

As Kelly walked by, Julie paused and forgot to hold on. The bus jolted sending Julie to the floor, spilling her books everywhere. Everyone was laughing and staring at her. She couldn't take it. She stood up, her face as red as a tomato and ran back to her seat next to Zigs. She didn't talk to anyone for the rest of the journey. She was mortified. She knew she was clumsy but she just wished she could contain herself.

She was the first off the bus when they arrived at St Paul's Grammar School and ran straight past a confused Fran who was waiting for them. She ran all the way to her form room and cried. And she didn't stop crying until the bell went for her next lesson. Her next lesson was Tech. With Ben and Kelly and Fran and George and............ "Julie, wake up" she heard her form tutor whisper to her.
