Amira, the loner who lost her parents.

all those people who used to ask about her have stopped up now.

she thought the first few days after loosing them would be the worst

but it's probably the easiest.

where everyone is there, comforting you

like they're scared to leave you alone.

it's annoying at the time, but a few weeks later, you miss it.

when nobody cares anymore, that's the worst.

you can't blame them, they have their own lives to get on with.

but it's sad.

she was left with nobody who really cares.

apart from her best friend Bonnie, she was one of the few she was close with, who she genuinely cared about.

and her sister, of course

well, ish.

Amira wasn't the jealous type, but her sister was an exception. Why wouldn't she be? Her sister had everything she wanted, popularity, friends,

not just people that are nice to you because they feel bad for you, real friends.

she only had a few, but those were her sister's friends too.

she still loved Elena, in her own kind of way.

Caroline Forbes was another one of her friends, but Amira was convinced it's only because her sister asked her to be.

she often gets told to "get over it" because her parents death was last year.

which was true, she needed to move on.

that was easier said than done.

what she really needed, was a sense of stability. someone new, who would always be there.

she doesn't have that yet.

she will, soon.

her humour was extremely sarcastic, and at times childish, she found nearly everything funny.

she can't take 'jokes', though.

her friends have learnt that now, the ones she has left

it always ends up in an overreaction, it's not worth it.

despite anyone's opinions, Amira is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet,

even when she has every right not to be, after everything she's been through.

her friends see that side to her more often than not.

the girl who loves to quickly, and too much.

whether or not she was possessive, overprotective, sad,

she was hurt, that's what made her that way.

"This year will be different", she says to herself in the mirror, the same thing she's said every year.

but this time it would be true,

she doesn't know that yet.
