CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FIVE !

Carol had completely popped her cork. she hallucinated pretty bad in the high school, and fell on some glass. she kept trying to say that she was fine, but she clearly wasn't. they had to take her back to alexandria to get fixed up. siddiq and the new doctor helped her. with their new rules set with the whisperers, they were able to just relax a little. they were able to catch up on sleep and rest up their bodies after so many days of intense hard work fighting walkers.

it had been two days since they met with alpha. daryl was staying at michonne's house, rather than with estella and jack. carol was staying with michonne, and daryl wanted to be there to take care of her, which estella couldn't get mad about. she was fine to stay without daryl in her house. she had been doing it for years. it was shitty without ottie, though.

now, estella was sat with lydia near the clothes lines. she was having a hard time with the bullies at alexandria. she was just sat there for comfort whilst lydia dug with her hands, playing with a worm. estella thought it was gross, but she wasn't going to say it.

"do you want me to say something to them?" estella asked her.

"no," lydia sighed. "it'll just make it worse."

"but if you just stand there and take it, they'll think it's okay. the best way to stop them is fighting back." estella said.

"that's in your situation, estella. you're daryl's daughter, basically michonne's daughter, too. people here see you as a leader as much as the others. they listen to you. i'm an outsider, they don't listen to me." lydia said, sounding annoyed.

"you don't have to be a leader to stand up for yourself. you can show them that you're not gonna take it by being confident." she tried, with a shrug of her shoulders as lydia kept her gaze down.

"i don't know how to be confident." lydia said.

"well, you could start by not showing them that they're getting to you. say things back when they say stuff to you. you're a member of alexandria just as much as they are. you have every right to defend yourself." estella told her.

"i've tried that, but it doesn't work. they look at me like i'm evil, like i'm the one that started all of this." she sighed. "i try to stay out of it, but they think i'm weak. i don't want to be seen as weak, not again."

"lydia, you're not weak. you take all this shit on the chin. you're not weak." she said, lydia shook her head.

she was about to reply, but negan walked through with a wheel barrow. estella didn't say anything to him. she knew that negan liked to talk to lydia, and lydia liked to talk to negan. she wasn't going to stop them from talking to each other. it wasn't her choice to make. if lydia wanted to talk to him, she could.
