Jason's pov
Jason watched as Bruce rushed around the batcave.
"Bruce what is going on why are you working extra hard?"Jason asked. Him and Dick had been worried about their adoptive father for a couple months now.
"Nothing I just want to get stuff done is all,"Bruce said as he typed on the computer. A picture of Jason's old friend,Madison popped on the screen.
"Bruce why is she in your system,she isn't a criminal or anything.Just a regular girl,"Jason said. Bruce shook his head.
"She wasn't normal,she had unique skill sets that made her the perfect candidate to become the next Sparrow,"Bruce said.
"Why are you saying all this is past tense like she is dead,she is still alive. Right,"Jason said fearing the worst. Bruce didn't answer and went about getting ready for his nightly patrol.
"Bruce is she dead?"Jason asked stopping Bruce who looked back at the picture.
"Yes,"He said before pushing Jason to the side. Jason's eyes widened.
"When and how did she die?"Jason asked sadness loud and clear in his voice.
"Joker killed her a week after your death,I'll take you to see her when I get back okay,"Bruce said coming out in his batman suit. Jason nodded and sat in the computer chair just staring at the picture. The one woman he cared about was dead. The one and only person that he truly loved was gone. As Jason looked at the picture he remembered how her smile could bring light to the darkest of people and how her laugh was so contagious. She was so innocent and full of life,that's what had drawn Jason to her. Jason had to know more,who was Sparrow and why was Madison such a great candidate to be this Sparrow character?Jason's head was full of questions and only one computer could answer his questions. Jason sat up and swiped Madison's picture into the corner of the screen. He searched the computer files for Sparrow and came up with a bunch of newspaper articles. Sparrow was a sidekick like Robin was but they were girls. Jason knew Madison had fighting experience,one thing that made her a great contender. He searched "Joker kills 16 year old girl in bomb explosion" and a photo of a Gotham pier warehouse came up with a picture of Madison at the bottom. The article went on to say the young teen was walking home after a party,but was kidnapped and tortured for information until left with a bomb that in turn killed her. Jason slammed his hand on to the keyboard. His best friend killed just like him. He pulled Sparrow back up and looked through the profile.

Suddenly Jason's comm started to go crazy.
"Talk to me,"Jason said turning the comm on.
"Requesting all bat family,we got a runner and she is fast,"Jason heard Nightwing's voice say. He closed down what he was looking at and grabbed his helmet. Tonight Red Hood was a good guy but that doesn't mean he will always be. Jason ran over by to his motorcycle and revved it up before heading out of the cave to the coordinates. Jason stopped and saw that Batman was fighting a girl with long black hair. She smirked at him before kicking him back and jumping off the roof. A cord came over and tried to stop her from going anywhere else but before it could latch onto her ankles she cut it with a jagged knife. She landed on the corner of the roof on the next building and started running. Robin and Nightwing started to go after her but Batman put his hand up to stop them. He pulled out a phone like object that showed a moving dot.
"A tracker nice,"Nightwing said. Jason nodded and took off his helmet.
"We should get going if we wanna stay in range of the tracker,"Jason said. Batman nodded. Nightwing and Robin jumped in the bat mobile with Batman while Jason took his motorcycle. They came to the stop at a warehouse but not just any warehouse. It was the warehouse where Joker was created. Batman and Nightwing walked in first followed by Jason and Robin.
"Where is she?"Robin asked then they heard a voice.
"This is the scene of your first failure right,but that failure certainly wasn't your last was it,"She said as she messed with a pistol. Batman growled and looked ready to pounce on the girl and punch the life out of her. She smirked and laughed like she was out of breathe.
"Ah memories,"She said. Jason's eyes widened that is almost like what he had said to Batman when they were enemies,when Jason first returned as Red Hood. She giggled and threw her pistol in one of the tanks of liquid.
"This stuff can do a lot to a persons mind,"She said. She quickly pulled out another pistol and shot at Robin making Batman react. He shot his grapple hook and jumped up only to be kicked. Robin recovered from almost being shot and ran to help along with Nightwing. Jason hung back because the girl was never going to be caught by the impatient Batsy or the Blue bird,but maybe just maybe Jason could follow her and figure who she is and what she wants.Jason took a step and heard a crunch. He lifted his foot and saw the bats tracker. She had lead them here on purpose. Jason turned on his comm.
"We need to leave,she lead us here on purpose this is a trap,"Jason said. He heard them yelling and then running in his direction. As soon as they got outside the building exploded. Jason threw himself to the ground. Only one wall of the warehouse stood and on that wall in red writing said...
"READY OR NOT HERE I COME BAT FAMILY -HUNTRESS"
