As I thank them and bow, a sudden realization hits me that I was just saved by pirates. I straighten up and exclaim in shock, "Wait, what? You guys are pirates!"Naruto POV:
Great, how do I get out of this situation? Most of the pirates I've met haven't exactly been the best people. But as I think about it, they agreed to help me. Maybe they're not bad pirates. Are there even good pirates?
I hear the old man's laughter, as he continues to casually fill his bowl with sake. "Don't worry, if we wanted to harm you, we would have done it already," I hear Whitebeard's deep voice for the first time. "But tell me, what were you doing out on the open sea?"
He's right. I don't think they're bad people, or they wouldn't have helped me. And even if they were, I can defend myself. Though it might be a bit difficult with this many of them.
"To be honest, I'm not quite sure," I laugh a bit nervously. "When I woke up, I was surrounded by the sea."
"And you didn't notice?" Whitebeard asks. "You're lucky we found you. The next island is still far away, and the chances of a ship passing by here are slim."
It's only now that I realize the situation I'm in. Even though I had prejudices against pirates, they're still helping me. I bow again to thank them and apologize at the same time.
"It's okay, boy. I know pirates don't have a good reputation," the old man grins at me. "Especially not towards us. But I'm a bit surprised that you haven't heard of us. Tell me, where are you from?"
"I'm from Konohagakure," I answer proudly.
"In which sea is that island located? I've never heard of the name before," he asks.
"Island? It's not an island, it's too big for that. And it's located in the Fire Country," I reply confusedly. "How can that be? The name Konoha is known, especially since the story with Pain. I'm surprised you've never heard the name before."
Both the old man and the others look at me strangely.
"Is the Fire Country located in the East Blue or South Blue?" I'm asked.
"East Blue, South Blue? What are those?" I ask in return.
"Well, the world seas," I'm given as an answer.
Feeling quite confused by the situation, I don't know what to say to that. Where have I ended up?
"It's okay, it shouldn't be too far if you woke up after a day. As long as you're on this ship, you have to follow the orders of the commanders. You're free to move around, but don't cause us any trouble," the old man warns me.
"Yes, of course," I reply to him.
"You must be hungry, right?" I'm asked.
As if my stomach was waiting for that, it starts to growl. I blush slightly and answer with a yes. He just laughs at me and looks at Thatch. "Can you make him something to eat, please?" he says.
"Yeah, sure, Oyaji," Thatch answers him and then turns to me. "You can come with me, I'll make you something delicious to eat." He walks towards the door and I follow him. As I pass through the door and it slowly closes, I still hear murmurs from outside.
