Chapter 1
Starting The Engine

((A/N: Let's just see where this goes, shall we?))

Issabella, she's a beautiful young college student, embracing life and living to the max.

Harry, he's a handsome young college student, hating life and hiding out in his room.

Two different people connected through a budding friendship over tattoos at a parlor roughly 3 years ago. They keep their tradition alive and get new tattoos every month.

"Have you picked out our new tattoo yet? You've been staring at that page of the book for over 15 minutes." Issabella teases her friend Harry. He was stuck between choosing an immaculately drawn rose that would for sure cost over their budget and getting a simple tattoo of their initials.

"Give me a couple more minutes. Please?" He asked her, running his pointer finger and middle over the rose in a delicate pattern.

"Harry." Issabella took a few steps closer to him, she draped her arm across his back since she couldn't reach his shoulder and rested her head against his bicep. "We really don't have time. Can I help you decide? What's troubling you?" She's squeezes his hip and he wiggles out of her soft grasp keeping his giggles at bay.

Harry grew annoyed with her pestering him to hurry, all because they had to leave to start this road trip that he didn't even want to be going on but he couldn't send her alone.

"No, I'm capable of doing this on my own. I'm just not sure-" he stops himself from rambling about the two last tattoos he's deciding between.  He takes his eyes off the tattoo and looks at his friend who attached herself to him just moments before, he reaches his hand out for her and sweetly caresses the side of her arm with his fingers.

He would never deny the slight sense of tingles he felt whenever she touched him. But he would never admit to them either.

"Okay," he smiles down at her.

"Okay, what? Harry."

"Okay, I've decided." He smiles at her. "Remember? No peaking!" And with that he whisks her away towards the back to get their matching tattoos.

"Can I look now, Harry?" She asks impatiently.

"Not for another 3 days, when the bandage comes off, you know this by now." (A/n: I honestly have no idea. I'm tattooless.)

Harry was right, Issabella did know this by now but that never stopped her from asking the last 10 times they had gotten tattoos and not being able to wait.

"I'm going to have a peak anyways once we get home. So what's the point?"

"The point is.. that I want to see your reaction this time. I think you might like it, maybe." His answer is rather timid and a bit shy coming from him so she raised an eyebrow intrigued.

"It means that much to you, this time?"

"This time, yeah." He says simply. "Thanks, Marco, we will be back next month." He thanks the man that draws the ink into their skin every month, the man is very fond of the duo too.
