He looked deeply at me, and softly spoke in a questioning manner,
"Rapids?"
My heart froze in place, sending goosebumps standing across my entire body. His voice was a reminder of all that happened, and all that is happening now. I tried to snap myself back into time, but it was hard to believe that Jaydes was standing right infront of me at that moment.
I spoke up,
"Jayd-"
Abruptly, Jaydes' phone rings and my words get cut off before I can say a sentence. He glances at me with a hint of embarrassment, then pulls his phone out of his left pocket and places it against his ear. I hear a troubled voice on the other end, with a feminine tone.
"Corsiar, please calm down, I can't understand anything you're saying." Jaydes mumbled with worry buried in his vocal chords.
Corsiar? Could that be his girlfriend?
Peering at me, he made a pointing gesture with his hand and signalled he needed to go outside to talk. I nodded in agreement, although, itching to speak with him again.
I hated Jaydes, but I always wondered how he had been. I wondered if he still liked me.

I stood around for a couple minutes and gazed at my surroundings, my eyes searching for who accompanied him. My gut feeling screamed loudly at me. Yuke. Yuke. Yuke.
Jogging my memory, I noticed he had originally sat near the entrance - so, i glanced over and spotted 2 men conversing with eachother. A tanned man wearing a dark hoodie and oversized pants, along with a tall light-skinned man; to which I was guessing, wasn't someone who I previously associated with. I analyzed the duo and realised.
It was infact, Yuke.
However, I had no clue of who was sitting with him, and it didn't particularly bother me. They caught onto the fact I was lost in my thoughts staring at them and decided to stare back - I felt strong tension knotted between the distance of me and Yuke. He knew I wasn't fond of him before, and somehow thrived off of it; almost as if he had planned it.

Jaydes strolled back inside of the restaurant with an irritated expression and returned to the counter, so I redirected my gaze to him. Sighing dramatically, he then spoke again,
"Where were we?"
I replied,
"Jaydes, how have you been?"
He looked briefly at the table he had claimed and back at me.
"I've stuck around Yuke for a while, just been living life. His ex boyfriend, Junesis, likes to tag along with us. Speaking of, he asked of you before - and appeared to have interest in the topic, but never asked too much." Jaydes explained.
"Of me?" I questioned. I had no idea who Junesis was.
"Yeah, I think Yuke might've mentioned you before to him. I wouldn't worry about it. What about you?" he responded.
"Same old things." I muttered back. Taking a deep breath, and blurting out,
"Listen, Jaydes, I wonder about you all the time. I want to ask you so much."
His eyebrows raised as I spoke, and he diverted his gaze away from me.
"I think about you too." Jaydes answered.
