Soon after discussing some options that Sasaki had been considering, the food arrived and the lovers could begin to enjoy their meal together. However, that was interrupted for Akashi as his phone rang. Now, both of them had been meticulous people, and that aspect of their personalities had given rise to assigning specific ringtones to each person in their contacts.
The person calling him should have only sent him a text to inform him that the deed was done, so either something was wrong, or the center could not follow simple directions. Akashi decided to error on the side of caution, though, as his eyes flipped to heterochromic and he rose to excuse himself to take the call.
Stepping outside the room, the young master pulled his phone from his pocket and, after pressing the answer button, lifted it to his ear. "Atsushi, what is the meaning of this?"
"Sorry Aka-chin, but I'm not really sure what to do here," Murasakibara said from the other end of the line, one hand holding his phone out and on speaker while the other was up in the surrendering position, knife now on the ground as a gun was pointed at his head.
"Yo," A voice came over the phone that Akashi hadn't expected, but now understood he should have foreseen. As it turns out, Kagami had in fact figured out what they had been planning, and was inhibiting them from doing so. Just the thought made the young master's jaw clench as irritation overcame his face.
"Kagami," He addressed.
"Akashi, you're pulling some dangerous crap again. Guess you guys really are all the same," Kagami huffed, though I'm not one to talk right now. "Listen up, you've got two choices."
"I don't recall being in a position which would give you the right to make demands of me."
"Either shut your mouth and listen to the choices or I'm gonna blow Murasakibara's brains out," The redhead snapped. Now, Akashi wasn't sure he would mind having one less person to share Sasaki with, but his other self nudged him and shook his head, so with a sigh, Akashi leaned against the wall.
"You have the floor."
"Good. Now, your choices are either me calling the cops on your asses for all the crimes you guys have commited for your relationship with Sasaki and attempted premeditated murder, or," He paused, his finger teasing the trigger of the gun he was holding. "Having Murasakibara walk away, letting me finish off my worthless teammates, and allowing me a chance to be with Sasaki too. What'll it be, Akashi?"
Akashi pursed his lips. Of course he knew that Kagami was attracted to Sasaki, that was one of the reasons why he was so adamant about taking out the entire team of Seirin; tying up loose ends. He didn't know that Kagami knew of the other murders, but now he did know. And he also knew that.. "You're one of us as well," Akashi surmised, causing the person on the other end of scoff lightly.
"Guess you could say that," Kagami said, not mentioning the fact that he'd had a very vivid vision of a world without Sasaki. He refused to even entertain such a possibility any longer, and he was determined to be by Sasaki's side to make sure that the azurette was real, with him, now and forever.
"Before we can continue with this proposal, I have to ask," Akashi shifted so that he was leaning most of his weight on one leg, the other lazily crossed over at the foot. "What will you do if Hayate doesn't agree to take you into the harem? You did quite a number on him during our game."
"...I know," Kagami's voice was low as he gritted his teeth, his hair shading his facial expression. "I said some stupid shit, and it's a real possibility that Sasaki won't forgive me. If he doesn't, I'll walk away. But," A smirk slid onto his face and into his voice. "We both know Sasaki isn't like that."
"Hmph," Akashi's eyes turned deep pink as he hummed. "Very well, Kagami. I will entrust the task of getting rid of Seirin's basketball team to you, I hope you won't make me regret this."
"I'll be better than whatever the hell Murasakibara has going on," Kagami scoffed as he finally let the hand he was holding the gun with drop to his side. "Seriously, using a knife is too old school, especially one like--" He cast a distainful look at the knife that was obviously from a kitchen. "--That."
The gun he had, he'd swiped off of Riko's old man. And while he wasn't exactly an experienced yandere, he certainly could wipe traces without a problem. Kagami hadn't killed anyone before either, but he had an odd sense of calm wash over him as he held the gun. It would be simple; the team wouldn't suspect him of wanting to kill them. Maybe Kuroko would since he was a yandere himself, but the guy was too out of sorts at the moment to really be on his game. Plus, they had gone out to a fairly out-of-the-way restaurant that they could afford.
He and Murasakibara were currently in the alleyway right behind said restaurant. The redhead was glad that he had managed to guess the timing right, otherwise this conversation would've been a lot more rushed and a lot less organized since he definitely would have had to deal with his team's screams and fight or flight responses. Just the thought made his eye twitch annoyedly.
"Very well, then I'll leave it to you. Text me when you're done. Murasakibara, give Kagami my number and retreat for now," the young master directed, causing the purple giant to groan.
"Aw man, this is so lame," He grumbled, the call cutting from Akashi's side to allow Murasakibara better access to his phone. So he pulled up Akashi's contact info and tossed his phone to Kagami, who quickly input the numbers into his own device before giving the phone back to it's owner. "Kay, see ya," Murasakibara went on his way with a hand raised in parting.
Kagami, on the other hand, stayed in the alleyway for a moment longer. He could barely contain himself, his shoulder shaking as he began to imagine his teammates' faces. Oh, he was going to have fun with this.
