The next morning was Mother's Day, one day that every mother loved except Hayley. She hated Mother's Day for multiple reasons, for one it made her think of her mother who died when she was a baby, then she thought of the way she gave birth to hope which made it worse.

Although for Rebekah it was different, it reminded her of the birth experience of giving birth to Rose, and how it felt to bring life into the world. Freya and Keelin are excited about this day as well along with Davina and Gia, they all birth their child peacefully.

Hayley wasn't upset with them getting to have a peaceful, normal birth, nor was she upset with the way Hope was delivered, because what happened was history; Hayley gave birth to a tribrid, and Klaus Mikealson was the father. Hayley was just as happy with that, as all the other mothers were happy on this day. As Hayley opened her eyes, the sun beamed into the room.

Hope standing over her mother was a card reading "Happy Mother's Day, Mom, I love you" Hayley got a card like this every year, but each one had something different about them and that's what Hayley loved she enjoyed the small things, but she still loved the big ones. Hope hugged her mom, as her father came into the room.

A tray with every kind of breakfast food on it was in Klaus' hands, there were pancakes, waffles, french toast, buttered toast, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, grits, eggs, scrambled, sunny side up, omelet, fruits, and yogurt. There was also coffee and orange juice, Hayley loved orange juice while pregnant with Hope, and she still did. "Who is this for?" Hayley asked, hoping the answer was for her. "Me," He said in an annoying voice, "who else would it be for, you duh?" He said walking over and putting the tray of food across Hayley's lap.

"Happy Mother's Day, Little wolf," Klaus said leaving the room. Hayley smiled as she looked over to Hope who was still in the room, "That was nice of Dad," Hope said grabbing a piece of bacon off of her mom's plate, "see you when you're done eating," Hope said as she left the room.

Marcel had surprised Rebekah with breakfast in bed, along with Kol, Vincent, and Elijah, although it was nothing compared to what Klaus had brought Hayley.

After they were done eating, each of them got dressed and walked into the courtyard where most of the time the guys brought them gifts. Hayley hung off to the side, watching as Freya, Keelin, Rebekah, Davina, and Gia all received gifts. She leaned against a wall when Klaus walked up to her, putting his hand over her eyes, and then taking them off.

She looked at him, he was holding three boxes two in a rectangular shape and the other a square shape. He opened the first rectangular-shaped box, inside was a beautiful silver chain that had a heart locket in the middle. Klaus took the chain out of the box, she knew to turn around; as she lifted her hair, he placed the chain around the front of her neck and connected the chain in the back.

"Thank you, it's beautiful," Hayley said, holding the heart in her hand, opening it to see a photo of her and Hope when Hope was still young. "How'd you get this?" she asked him, "I have my ways Little wolf," Klaus replied smirking.

He then opened the next box, inside was a smaller but thicker chain, with charms all around it. One charm was a moon, a crescent moon to be exact, next were the letters H and M, and another charm was the Mikealson "M". She smiled as he put the chain around her wrist. "You surprise me every day Klaus Mikealson," Hayley said, looking into Klaus' deep blue-green eyes.

"There's one more for now," Klaus replied, opening the small box. Inside there was a ring, with a crescent moon as the jewel; the jewel was an emerald green color, it was the same green inside Hayley's eyes, that was wrapped under the brown in her eyes.

"Klaus..." Hayley said, staring at the ring. "Don't worry Little wolf, I'm not going onto one knee this is just a promise ring," Klaus said. "A promise for what?" She asked, there was the snarky Hayley he knew.

"To be a good father to Hope and a good partner to you," he said with a smile. Hayley smiled back, looking into his deep blue-green eyes as he looked into her hazel eyes.
