Khalil's POV:

I am Khalil, and yes, I know Irvine. We once had a machine that made us forget each other; but what she doesn't know is that I remember everything because of the malfunction, the machine only worked on her. I miss her so much, so I planned to get her back somehow. I registered in her school and took the same course, just so that I could watch over and protect her every day.

I observe her everyday. One can call it stalking; I call it peeping. I don't want to make the same mistake again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Earlier I rode on the jeepney with her, in which I posed as though I was asleep.

"Huhuhuhu, kuya, that head of yours is heavy. But to some extent, you will be glad about it since you are very handsome, and therefore I will have to endure." I heard her let out a whisper.

I smiled more painfully. I should have cried. I missed her voice, sweet and angelic.

By the time we had entered the classroom, the professor asked me to sit next to her. I introduced myself and stretched my hand forward. While she took it, suddenly she fell unimpressive. I bundled her off to the clinic. What the hell was that?

I stayed with her until she regained consciousness. I watched as the tears streamed down my face. I remember good times of us happy while on my knees.

"I'm sorry, Irvine, for putting you to that. I'm sorry that I insisted on you forgetting all our memories. I was just wanting to protect you then."

"Irvine, I miss you. I wish I could say all this now, but it is not the right time." Tears started welling up in my eyes.

She woke up abruptly, and I wiped the tears away from my eyes. I asked if she was okay, and she said she was, so back to class we went. When the day was done, she walked home.

"I would do everything in my power to win you back, Irvine," I said while gazing at her from a distance.

I'm in the laboratory now investigating what might have happened to her that day.

Yes, I am a scientist. I've hidden it all and pretended to be her classmate. The machine only wiped Irvine's memories. She's a scientist too we graduated years ago. Her parents had passed away, she lives alone now.

"I found it!"

What she experienced was a flashback. She's starting to remember our shared past, and the hope in my heart casts brighter.

"Im close, Irvine... my love, ImEryx. We close, I whispered as I held the necklace she had given me.

Irvine, I will have you again. This time, I will never let you go.
