"There's a volleyball match today at the girl's dorm. Wanna hang out with us?" Jake questioned, leaning his figure over his older friend's doorframe. Heeseung dismissively waved his hand, not even lifting his eyes from the book he was currently reading.
The younger blew a raspberry.
"I heard Karina's going to be there~"
Almost immediately Heeseung turns around in his seat, eyes gaping at Jake.
"Ha! Caught you red-handed buddy," he was having so much fun teasing his hyung.
Heeseung pouted. He has not seen Karina in a while, and the last time they met was such a mess that he had forgotten to ask for her number. In his defence, he has absolute no other way to contact her other than showing up at her front door, which would be totally creepy by the way.
"Cruel of you to make fun of your friend," he wheeled his chair back to his table, slumping onto his thick book.
"Who said I was lying? Come on hyung, get your ass up and pick your best clothes. There's going to be a tonne of people so try to stand out from the crowd, yeah?"
Heeseung in fact, did not take his dongsaeng's advice to his heart. He just shrugged and wore whatever was comfortable for the weather that day, and tagged along with his three friends as they drove to the volleyball court nearby the girls' dorm.
And Jake was definitely not exagerating. There was a lot of people outside. Even with the heat from the summer, a crowd was still formed nearby the court, everyone noticebly interested in the match.
"These people ... didn't all come for Karina, right?" He whispered to himself, but Sunghoon caught it.
"You'll see, hyung," the younger teased, bumping shoulders with his friend to ease him up.
Sunghoon had wanted to see how far these two would go.
Heeseung looked around once they entered the court.
There.
He spots her.
"Karina, you're up!"
There was barely time left on the clock before the game ends, and yet she gets pulled from the bench because one of her teammates got "injured". Removing the towel that had been covering her exposed legs, she grunted silently and jogged into the court.
Hoots and whistles evoked from the crowd, and she really struggled not to roll her eyes to this reaction. Karina really hated the attention that tags along with her name. She does nothing and yet, she either gets her name smeared or cat-called.
Tugging onto her shorts hesitantly, she tries to ignore the fact that there was, in fact, hundreds of hormonal men in front, witnessing her bounce around the court in super short shorts and a tight sleeveless top.
The thing about Karina's figure is, she was blessed with more chest than your average Korean girl. So naturally, anything that she wears would look sexier, which was unfortunate for her. The top that was supposed to cover her crotch right now barely reaches her stomach because of the bump on her chest. She hated everything about her chest, as they lead to harassment like these.
But she was a strong girl. There was nothing that she couldn't handle.
She tries to focus on the game, strategising when would be the right time for her to strike.
The game soon turned into a heated one as Karina kept on scoring for her team, one after another, the volleyball kept on slamming off her wrists.
Wiping her sweat off her chin, she prepares herself to service the ball until a certain boy's face reached her eyes through the squares of the net.
