Xavier wandered down the Bondi promenade, surf board in his grasp held under his arm. It was still quite early, but obviously not early enough as there were people sitting on the cool sand and more were coming. "Lovely," he grumbled to himself.

Walking down the closet ramp and stepping onto the sand with a sigh. He had about fifteen minutes before he had to start work. He headed towards the water. Luckily, not many people were out there.

When he was deep enough, he started to paddle out. Doberman didn't really mind if he caught any waves, he just wanted to chill for a bit. And so, he did.

When he was far enough from shore, he stopped paddling and sat up, legs hung off the sides of the board as he watched the last of the sun rise. He felt at peace - relaxed for the first time in forever. The sound of gentle waves crashing up against the sand and his board added to that. He just let the board float for a few minutes.

His moment of silence and time to himself was interrupted by his eyes catching a hand go up. The waves weren't that harsh where the man was but, when duty calls, you have to go.

With a huff, he put his chest back onto the surf board and paddled in the direction of the stranger. He wasn't that far so, within seconds, Xavier sat up again. The man wasn't struggling at all. Doberman narrowed his eyes at the stranger in a glare.

The man waved him off, "Not you."

"Not me?" Xavier scoffed, "Mate, you're the one who wanted help, I'm the help."

The man shook his head, "I'm allergic to men. I need a woman."

That quickly set Xavier off. He harshly grabbed the man's wrist and dragged him onto the board despite his protests. "Hopefully you won't die," he grumbled with a sarcastic tone and paddled forward.

Once they reached the shore and they both got off the board, the man squared up to Doberman, the other didn't flinch as he picked up his board before staring down the stranger.

"I'd appreciate if you don't do that," he calmly said. The man was about to start something before his wife called his name and he scurried off.

Xavier shook his head, what a fifteen minutes that was.

Dober walked into the tower, trailing after Hoppo. He seemed angry that he was there but, inside he was kinda excited. A fresh new start.

"Everyone, listen up!" Apparently every lifeguard on that shift was there. "This is Xavier," Hoppo gestured to the taller man by his side, "Most commonly called Doberman or Dober. He has recently transferred here so be nice, okay? Okay." The boss then walked out, probably going to do some boss man stuff. Doberman glanced around at the curious eyes. This is going to be a long day.
