I walked down the long corridor. My books were pressed tightly against my chest. My fingers began to even turn red from the grip I had around my Defense Against the Dark Arts book. Kids were pressed against each other, as we all attempted to make our way our classes.
I took a sharp turn and slammed into a strong chest.
"Watch out! Oh um hey Gracie." The familiar voice said.
I looked up to see those piercing gray eyes. His white hair was glistening from the candle above us. I placed my stray hair behind my ear.
"Hey Draco." I said smiling. He smiled back.
"Draco, come on! We're going to be late for spells class!" Crabbe, his pudgy friend, exclaimed.
"Um yea. We should go." Draco said breaking out of our staring trance. "Bye Gracie." He said walking past me.
"Bye Grace." Goyle, his other pudgy friend, and Crabbe said in unison.
"Bye." I said to all three of them.
I walked down to the tall wooden door and entered the room.
"Gracie, how are you?" I turned around and looked to see who it was.
"Oh hey Harry." I said waving.
"How are you?" He asked sitting down next to me.
"I'm good. Talked to my friend for a couple of seconds." I said smiling. "What about you?" I asked opening up my book.
"I'm good. Are you ready for tonight?" he asked. I looked at him and remembered the meeting.
"Yea I am." I said turning my attention to the front when the teacher walked in.
After the long day of school, it was time to hang out with my friends. I walked into the Griffindor common room. Ron, Hermione, and Harry were sitting on the couch. All three of them were talking. I guess they didn't notice me when I walked in.
"Draco, what is your kind doing up here?" I turned around to see what was going on.
"I'm just here to talk to a friend." He said. I walked to the door and opened it.
"Hey Grace." He said. I smiled and walked up to him. "I need to talk to you." He said whispering in my ear. I nodded and walked with him.
We snuck down to the whomping willow tree. We stayed a safe distance from it. I turned and looked at Draco. He seemed kind of distracted. He looked at me and smiled. "Gracie, I need to tell you something." He said looking me straight into my eyes.
"What is it?" I asked.
"I-I'm a death-." He didn't have to finish it. I looked into his eyes. My eyes burned with hatred.
"Please Gracie, you don't understand." He said grabbing my arms.
"Draco, there is no excuse for this!" I exclaimed. I turned around to walk away, but he grabbed my hand.
"He's going to kill my whole family if I don't do this." He said. I stopped in my tracks. "Please Gracie; you are the only one who knows. I need you." He said with pleading eyes. I turned my body to face his.
"I'll be here for you, but we are not at good terms right now." I said looking into his grey eyes. "I don't care what terms we are on. Thank you." He said hugging me.
His scent was wonderful. We pulled apart, but he didn't let go. I stared at him, and he did the same for me. He started to lean in. I did the same. Our lips were about to touch when someone fell. Both Draco and I turned around to see Crabbe and Goyle laying there. They both smiled at us and ran off before Draco got them.
"Idiots." He whispered.
"We better go." I said pushing away.
