The hooded woman moved forward in front of her with a cheerful step. She was dancing in the red and ocher corridors of her castle followed closely by Julie. This one was actually trying to follow her because no matter how fast she ran, the woman seemed to be getting further and further away. She quickly lost sight of her and finally arrived in front of a large, half-open wooden door. She pushed open the door and found their room covered in blood, both the walls and the floor. The overturned table and broken crockery littered the floor. The protruding chunks penetrated her flesh with every step but she couldn't stop moving forward. Behind the canopy of the four-poster bed was a slender, familiar figure. The silhouet moved her body like a snake. When Julie took off the veil, Eylis was waiting for her. She was covered only by a slight draft giving her goosebumps. Her long blond hair was soaked in the blood that soaked the bed on which she wriggled. Her big blue eyes looked all the more beautiful. She pulled Julie towards her and almost pressed her face to her.
"You have to forgive yourself now..." Eylis sighed as if to seduce her.
Julie leaned over her to kiss her but she fell on the bed, taking the witch with her. They both sank into the pool of blood, but when Julie came into contact with the liquid...
...she woke up. She was oddly calm and peaceful. She straightened up slowly but the headache that usually plagued her every morning was absent today. She went to open the large curtains covering her bay window and observed the eternal starry sky of Khairhania.
"I don't know if I can."
A few hours later Lucia also woke up in the next room and rushed to join Julie. She didn't like the fact that she couldn't share the same room as her, but the wolf thought it was rude to Lord Carlys. She was drinking a cup of tea in front of this famous bay window, sitting near a small side table and wearing only a thin, slightly transparent dressing gown that showed the contours of her body. She seemed melancholy and didn't take her eyes off the window for a moment. The purplish moonbeams were reflected in her translucent cup and only her golden eyes embellished this dark picture. This scene reminded her of her first encounter with the witch. This time, she felt neither fear nor panic, just a deep sadness that she could not explain. She approached with a discreet step, not wanting to take her friend out of her contemplation. In view of her imperial and more or less comfortable attitude, one would have thought that Julie was the host of this castle. A bit like she was at home there, after all. Lucia lay down delicately on Julie's bed and looked at the sky to find what was so captivating to the witch's attention. They spent a long time looking at the two motionless moons in the sky. It was then that Julie put her cup in on the table with a melodious tinkling. She then turned her gaze to Lucia. A melancholy but smiling look. An almost sleepy or sleepwalking look. A look that wasn't really her. Despite the soft, warm features of the wolf, Lucia shuddered with dread. The reflections of moons now lit up her hair and gave it a darker and more shiny appearance. Her golden eyes looked rounder and not slit as usual. Lucia got up to come and kneel in front of her. She cuddled the back of her hands with her fingers, taking it in hers.
"What's going on ?" She asked softly.
Julie began to shed a few tears.
"I don't know..."
"Something's wrong ?"
"No, on contrarie. I have never felt better since you entered the room... I'm sorry..."
"Why ?" Lucia worried, stroking the witch's cheek.
"Because I wished for a moment that you were her..." Confessed Julie, unable to hold back her tears any longer.
Lucia got up and took her in her arms with a twinge of heart. Not the one that this confession should have caused, but more the one caused by the suffering of her lover.
