Note: Alternatively titled: "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" This actually isn't a bad chapter but I decided to do a warning anyways.  You'll get fluff again soon...or DAMN CAVE JOHNSON WILL HUNT ME DOWN AGAIN ISTG IF I GET HIM ON MY AO3 AGAIN I WILL HAPPILY HEAD TO MY GRAVE EARLY.  AND YES AN EARLY CHAPTER CAUSE I HAVE MOTIVATION.

Warning: Wally panics real!!! choking and more plush gore.  cause ouchies.

He woke up. He was panting and touching his eye as he looked around for you. He wanted you so bad but you were no where to be found. His eye felt normal. There was no glass he could feel or any wood. The pain that he had felt in said eye was gone.

Wally screamed your name crying. He wanted you...no....no....he needed you. Wally continued to call for you too scared to get out of bed.  In fact he was so scared he had covered his face with the blankets and was rocking himself back and forth.  Almost panicking and losing all self control.

You were located in the kitchen trying to get some sort of hot beverage to wake you up.  Wally had been squirming the whole night.  So, you happily said good bye to any type of sleep.  It really worried you that he was acting that way.  Maybe the dryer had done more damage then you had thought.

If your worries and concerns couldn't become any worse.  Your ears started ringing when you heard the screaming of the puppet. It felt almost like an instinct when you put down your hot drink and ran to your bedroom.  In your view being Wally Darling crawled up in a ball and wailing.

At first you were speechless until you blurt out the first thing that came to mind.  "HOLY CRAP WALLY YOU LOOK AS IF YOU JUST GOT KILLED AND CAME BACK TO LIFE-" you tell him.  You quickly running to his side and picking him up.  He felt like a small child that needed so much comfort so you started patting his back.

"I-I-" he would stutter out before grabbing onto you as tight as he could.  "Breathe in and out then tell me what happened." you tell him as he shivers in your arms.  "N-Nothing...j-just a b-bad dream." Wally stutters out.  His eyes still patting his left eye.  Which you took notice to and removed his hand.

"Your eye?  Is something wrong with it?" you ask him. You finding your self inspecting his eye.  He shook his head no but you could see him wince in pain when you started touching it.

Holding him and inspecting his eye was hard so you sat him down on your bed and kneeled to his height.  It wasn't until a few seconds later when you had found the source of the problem.  A glass shard was stuck in his eye.  The shard at the bottom of the eye and quite fairly small so it's clear how you could have missed it with only a glance at his eye.

"Buddy...how did that happened?" you ask the puppet.  You grabbing a first aid kit that was under your bed and pulling out some tweezers  Though he seemed almost that he was in too much shock to speak.  His body limp like how it was back when you had first woken up in your house.

"Wally?" you try and get him to move but he seemed almost dead.  "I swear if you're pulling some sort of prank on me-" you tell him teasingly.  Though you're cut off when he jumps on top of you and starts choking you.  "W-WALLY SH-" you cry out as you try and kick the puppet off.  Though he was too short that he pinned your waist down with his legs not having access to kick him off.  You still had the tweezers in your hand trying to move your arms to take out the glass shard.  The pain would most likely distract him if he was trying to choke you.

He knew what you were doing which only cause his hands to go tighter on your throat.  At this point you could barely breathe but you still tried to reach for his eye...and yes!  You got the shard out.  Which oddly enough made his eyes soften immediately and stop choking you.  He looked like he was out of his trance but now shaking like a leaf.  There was small bits of plush falling out of his eye now.  Yep he needed stitching.

------------------------------------------------------------------

You rolled your eyes.  "Grandma...why do I need to know how to stich up a puppet?" you asked her.  You were about 7 and clearly with little patience.  Your grandma had told you she was gonna teach you something for your birthday.  Stitching up some puppet was not what you had in mind.  "Oh shush now kiddo.  We're just practicing on a puppet.  Y'know I used to do this all the time at my old job." she told you with a small grin.  The puppet was quite small.  Was it even a puppet?  It looked like a prototype puppet for...what was the name of him again?

"Wait why do you even have a prototype of..Wally from that kid show you know I like?" you asked curiously.  Only causing your grandma to laugh softly.  "Hmm I'll let you guess kiddo!" she told you with a chuckle.  Her hand grabbing yours as she started leading it to stitch a small cut she had made on one of his fingers.  Your voice in a sigh.  You hated guessing.

"Whyyyy won't you just telll meee~" you whined.  But your grandma just laughed again and started teaching you how to sew its finger.  It was hard trying not to prick your finger with the needle.  Your grandma teasing how you were going to prick it like in Sleeping Beauty.

Her record player going on in the background playing a song to put the two of you at ease.  I'm sure you know it far...toooo....welll.  I just know you do, neighbor.  It starts with "beautiful dreamer awake unto me~".  Or even..."it's a great big beautiful tomorrow~  shining at the end of everyday~". ha. ha. ha.  I love you veryyyy much~ You truly.

Are  my  best  friend.
