Park Jimin had been so ruthless that Rosè Jang couldn't get out of bed for a few consecutive days. Fortunately for her, Yoon Jane had no upcoming events, so Rose Jang didn't have to go out. She could stay at home and have a good rest. By the time she had pulled through from that night's horror, a week had passed.
And during that week, Park Jimin didn't return home at all, just like before.
Only Park Jimin himself and those from the Park Mansion knew his home phone number.
Ever since Rosè Jang had started living in his house, Park Jimin treated the house like it had never existed and had never called.
Thus, the phone was no different from a decoration, other than when the Park Mansion called.
That afternoon, when the phone rang, the housekeeper was in the kitchen preparing fruit tea. Whereas Rose Jang, who had happened to be sitting on the living room sofa watching TV, picked up without looking at the number displayed as she thought it was a call from the Park Mansion.
The handset had not yet touched her ear before concise orders could be heard from it, "Let her get ready and I'll come pick her up at six o'clock this evening."
It was Park Jimin's voice ...
Rosè Jang's hand suddenly froze in action. He probably thought that the housekeeper had picked up the phone, and the "she" he mentioned referred to her, didn't it?
Before Rose Jang decided on whether to answer herself or to take the handset to the kitchen and let the housekeeper reply, Park Jimin on the other end of the line seemed to notice something was wrong, as he suddenly spoke again, his tone obviously much colder, "Why are you the one who answered the phone?"
He didn't give her the opportunity to answer, however. "It's Grandpa's orders. Tonight, you are to attend the Skypark Hotel charity party!"
As he spoke, he deliberately emphasised on the word "Grandpa." Although he did nothing more than inform her of the party, Rosè Jang could still understand the meaning of his words.
He had thought that she had looked for Grandpa in order to make him take her to the charity party...
As if to verify her guess, Park Jimin spoke again. "Your actions are so timely. I just returned from a business trip when Grandpa's call came... Ha... "
He gave a short and soft chuckle, but even across the phone, Rosè Jang could still feel his sarcasm.
Then, he quickly hung up.
No wonder it had been so peaceful that week, with no calls from the Park Mansion at all. So Park Jimin being on a business trip was the reason...
Now, as soon as he came back, Grandpa had grabbed the chance and tried to pull them together.
Rosè Jang knew that Grandpa was just being kind, but... Grandpa's kindness was precisely the reason why she suffered again and again!
That nightmare a week ago was still enough to make her shiver in fear, and if she and Park Jimin were really going to meet that night, who knew what he would do to torment her.
The first two times had been too unexpected and she couldn't avoid them, but this time was different... If she had known that she would be miserable, she wouldn't offer herself up for that kind of situation.
Rosè Jang calmly pondered over the matter. As she stared out of the window into bright afternoon sunlight for a moment, the words "business trip" that Park Jimin had just mentioned popped into her mind, and that gave her an idea. She quickly picked up the handset and dialed a number.
