Something about this intern stood out.
Age didn't mean everything, but Park Jimin made a mental note of it. After reviewing Rosè Jang's intern profile, he turned around and passed the file to Min Yoongi. "Can you check her documents?"
"What?" Park Jimin had been acting strangely for the past few days, and Min Yoongi couldn't help but ask.
Park Jimin frowned but didn't respond.
Min Yoongi took the file, and when he saw the picture and name on the file, he recognized her immediately. "Isn't she the student we met at Seoul University?"
"Yes," Park Jimin answered nonchalantly.
That girl student... Why does Master Park want information on her? Did he fall in love with her at first sight or something?
Min Yoongi looked at Park Jimin with curiosity.
Park Jimin frowned more and said casually, "I talked to her at length that day, and she seemed very mature. Secretary Kwon is pregnant, isn't she? I think she might not be able to handle the business of two companies right now, so I've been thinking about finding a new secretary."
Min Yoongi suddenly understood Park Jimin's rationale. "But shouldn't we find a more experienced one?"
"It's easier to train a novice," Park Jimin said.
Min Yoongi nodded in agreement. "Master Park, I will check her documents first thing tomorrow."
Park Jimin nodded but said nothing. He waved at Min Yoongi to leave.
...
Rosè Jang had started looking early for an internship so she wouldn't have to rush. So far, she'd only applied to PJS after researching the gaming company on the internet.
Rosè Jang figured she'd have to wait for at least a week before hearing anything back from them. She didn't think she would receive a call from PJS just three days after she submitted her application.
"Hello, Miss Jang. I am the HR manager at PJS. I am pleased to say we would like to offer you the job."
Rosè Jang thought she was dreaming. She literally pinched her thigh to make sure she wasn't. Quickly repressing her excitement, she responded, "Thank you."
"You're welcome, Miss Jang." The HR manager sounded nice, as well as efficient. She continued, "Miss Jang, can you report to work next Monday?"
Rosè Jang had not finished the semester yet, but all she had left were final exams and a small amount of coursework. She answered without hesitation, "Sure."
"Meet me at my office in the HR Department on Monday at 9:30 a.m." The HR woman then added, "Oh, Miss Jang, you applied for a designer position, but I need to tell you that the position we're hiring you for is executive secretary. The salary is..." Rosè Jang's mind wandered.
Executive secretary? Is that an administration job? The internship salary was a lot higher than most of their other jobs. Wow, could this be a scam?
"Miss Jang, are you there?" asked the HR manager after a long pause.
"Yes," Rosè Jang answered quickly. "I will see you on Monday."
...
Rosè Jang woke up early that next Monday morning. After showering and dressing, she checked herself in the mirror several times to make sure she looked professional on her first day. Once satisfied, she left the apartment and took the subway to PJS.
At this time, PJS Game Company had recruited eight interns in total. Rosè Jang arrived the earliest at the company site. After Rosè Jang had registered her attendance at the human resources department, she had waited for about half an hour before the other interns arrived one after another.
