CONNECTED STRANGERS

"Lone."

Lone, I thought to myself. who the fuck names their kid Lone.

In confusion, I looked up to meet eyes with the stranger and when I saw who it was my body froze. I was talking to Destroy Lonely. The rapper who I had just witnessed on stage.

"Oh shit you're Destroy Lonely!" He let out a slight laugh when he saw I realized who I had been talking to. I stood up in order to see past his shoulders, and saw a group of people standing in front of a tour bus.

"Who are they?" I asked, still in shock.

"Oh that's just my crew and some of my homies. Come here I'll introduce you."

"Oh I'm not really good when it comes to groups of people... especially meeting new ones." I said anxiously.

"That's some bullshit I saw you in the crowd, you was one of the most hype niggas in that bih." He said with a smirk on his face.

"Well yeah but- I- That's not the point." I said trying to change the subject. Lone began to laugh.

"Just don't overthink it. Come on you'll be fine." As we made our way towards the bus I couldn't help but think about what Lone said. He saw me out of all the people in the crowd? I really stood out to him that much? It made me feel special; It made me feel seen.

"Aye I got someone I want yall to meet. This is Saj, she here all by herself.. Her dude left her here apparently." Lone said once we got to his group.

"Hii." I said nervously with a slight smile. Everyone said "hey" or "wassup". They all seemed pretty chill.

"Damn your nigga left you here? That's real messed up." One of the guys said to me. He dressed similar to Lone and had half blonde half black locs.

"yeah I know... I like your hair." I said to him. He told me thank you and smiled at me. Aw he's so adorable, I thought to myself.

Lone extended his hand to lead me up the tour bus and I gladly accepted. It was so big in there, this was the type of shit you only see in movies and music videos. He told me I could sit down if I wanted to so I did. He took a seat right next to me maintaining a distance.

"So where you headed? I can ask my driver to drop you off where you need to be." He said to me.

"Uhm I don't know where I'm supposed to be, me and my boyfriend were supposed to head to a hotel after the concert.. He didn't say what hotel though." Im such a fucking idiot. Why didn't I ask what hotel we were staying at. Now what am I supposed to do.

"Well damn. He's not responding to his text or anything?"

I shook my head no then crossed my arms over my chest again. I should've brought a jacket it's freezing here.

"You cold? I gocthu." Lone took off his black jacket and handed it to me.

"thanks." I said to him slipping the jacket on. It smelled really good and was nice and warm. it had a cool oversized look on me too.

"I'm opium now?" I said to him cheesing a smile. Lone busted out laughing.

"That shi was corny as fuck." He said still laughing. I rolled my eyes at him.

"whatever bruh." I said, mushing him to the side.

"I can't believe you just said that shit bro, I'm most definitely tellin Ken about that, that's funny as hell."

Our laughter died down and I started to get sleepy. I stretched as I let out a yawn and my eyes started to droop.

"You tired? You can go to sleep." Lone said to me. Half of me wanted to go to sleep, but the other half of me was saying no. I don't know these guys, if I fall asleep there's no telling what they might do to me. But... If they wanted to hurt me I'm pretty sure they would've done it by now, right? The possibilities were endless, but all I knew was that I'm tired and have no where else to go. I would rather sleep in a big ass tour buss full of men, rather than on the streets... Which is also filled with men.

"Ima just rest my eyes for a bit." I told Lone before laying down and slowly closing my eyes. Before I knew it I was out cold.

LONES POV

I exited from the side of the tour bus to talk to Ken. I already knew he was gonna start asking about Saj.

"Aye what's up with you and that girl in there? She's bad as hell" Ken said smirking while shaking his head.

"Yeah I know, she's fine as fuck. Her style is sick too... There's nothing going on between us though, I'm just trying to help her out."

"Hold on, nigga did you leave her on our tour bus? We got some valuable shit in there the bitch could be crazy for all we know." He said before taking a hit of his blunt.

"Aye bruh chill with the bitch word, and relax I trust her she ain't gonna do nothing if anything she seemed a little scared."

"Nigga you call girls bitches all the time, your ass must be in love or something." Ken said smiling.

"Whatever man." I said laughing. Kens my right hand. We do everything together. And as much as he gets on my nerves that's my brother for life and I wouldn't trade our bond for anything else.

After a couple of minutes of talking I went back on the tour bus, Ken following behind me. We entered to find a knocked out Saj on our couch.

"Damn Nigga you done gave her your jacket and everything!?" Ken said while laughing and shaking me.

"She was cold bro what else was I supposed to do??" I responded, pushing him off of me while laughing a bit.

"She look so calm and peaceful." Ken said,

"Yeah.... She do."

I couldn't help but wonder about Saj. She looked so happy and bright when I saw her in the crowd, I was drawn to her energy automatically. It was such a coincidence that I saw her sitting outside all alone. I could tell she was crying, it was a major shift from when I saw her on stage. Her boyfriend must be a fucking weirdo to leave his girl by herself in an unknown surrounding. I don't know a lot about her, but I know she doesn't deserve someone like that.

I got up and walked to the back of the bus to grab the blanket from where I was crashing at. I then walked up to Saj and gently laid the blanket on top of her. She looked so pretty. I sat down beside her and just starting thinking for a minute. I got on my phone for a couple of minutes, then proceeded to take a glance at her.

Who are you? I thought to myself, and what are you doing here?
