(17) Bucky Leaves Town

The next morning, while James and Viv were still sleeping Bucky took off on his back leaving Shreveport Louisiana behind. He headed toward Texas where his grandmother had left him her barn house. 

After the long drive, Bucky arrived at the house and let himself in. He ignored phone calls, text messages and social media attempts. He cried, drank a lot of alcohol and got high. While everyone back home panicked as they looked for him.

Winnie came out to James' place, "Jezebell nice to see you return to your roots." James said 

"Don't start, I left this life for this reason. Where the hell is my son?" Winnie said 

"Winnie he isn't just your son he is mine. And I have exhausted all my resources trying to find him." James said 

"Really?! With all your "resources" you can't find him. After everything that has happened he could be dead in a ditch!" Winnie snapped 

"Winnie! I am trying to find our son! What more do you want from me!" James snapped. 

"What I want is for you and our boys to grow up! And for my baby to come home! It scares me every time they get in trouble or hurt! So please find him James! He is the only one who is part me and part you the others are all you! The girls are like me.." she said as she cried and walked out. 

James went on the back porch, and lit up a cigarette as he tried to brush away the guilt. Winnie and him have been divorced since Bucky was 6 years old. But she still had a way of breaking him with her tears. 

"James.." Vivian said 

"Yeah.." he said as he sipped his beer.

"The keys to your mother's house are missing." Vivian said 

James looked at her, "The Texas house?" He said 

"Yeah.." she said 

James smiled, "I believe I know where my son is." He said as he left his beer on the table. 

He packed a bag and left in his truck. He makes a stop at Winnie's to pick up a few things from her, then left for Texas.
