"Where have you been?" Wakasa asked when she saw Yuki drinking alone while sitting on the sand. It was already late at night but she was still awake.
"Just somewhere" She answered,trying to avoid the topic. There was this feeling again, she felt like it was wrong to let Ran show his feelings to her because she knew that she couldn't return his feelings ,and the reason for that was because of this guy who was standing next to her.
"I think he's buying another can of drinks for us" Yuki answered. " Where's Hari?" Yuki said, and drank the remaining beer inside the can.
"She's already sleeping". Wakasa sat beside Yuki with a little space between them . He felt the cold wind hitting his skin.
"I'm so tired,but this is relaxing" Wakasa said ,closing his eyes. Wakasa really looked tired.
"I'm tired too. I should just have stayed at home"
" I was thinking about that too,but Hari really wanted to come here."
Yuki didn't answer, 'here we go again. He could just say to Hari that the beach is not his thing properly' Yuki thought.
"Hey Wakasa" Yuki called,not even bothering to look at him, she was just staring at the beautiful wave that was harder to see because it was kinda dark
"Hmm?"
"How much do you love her?" Yuki asked in a serious voice. She didn't know what she was thinking about asking that kind of question,but even though she knew that Wakasa's answer would hurt her, she still wanted to hear it from him.
"I love her so much,that it was okay for me to look like an idiot and follow her everywhere if I could" Wakasa answered.
Yuki once again felt the sting in her chest. ' Why did I even ask? I'm just hurting myself more.'
"Right. Thats... That's good". She tried to make her voice normal, like she was really glad to hear Wakasa's words,which she succeeded.
"I'm just wondering if.." Wakasa started, which made Yuki's eyebrows furrow.
Yuki closed her eyes, still calming herself from the pain she had just felt "if what?"
"...If you're dating Ran---"
Their conversation was cut off by the voice of a girl from behind "Wakasa, I was worried about you. Why are you here? It's already late" Hari asked while rubbing her left eye.
Wakasa immediately stood up and approached Hari,he wrapped his hand around her waist and gave her a kiss on her forehead. Yuki looked away from them and simply took a deep breath.
