Year 2057
They call it Hannibal's disease, it's a disease almost like a tumor that grows inside of the brain usually starting around the brainstem. It could never be cured because it only took a couple hours for the disease to take over the brain. It was always too late, the same thing happened over and over again. The doctors would study the patients brain through dissection or magnetic reasoning then the cells would die and form into a different type of cell, a mutant cell. Every experiment proved ineffective, completely fruitless. All we know is that it's spread through bites, scratches, and exchanges of bodily fluids, like blood and saliva.
80% of the worlds population has been affected by Hannibal's disease. The rest of us, the last 20% of human population, is getting smaller and smaller. Time is never in our favor.
