Chapter 4

One moon after Lionkit, Ravenkit, and Wolfkit were born, Swiftkit finally was able to teach them how to play the game Sunblaze had taught him. Thornstar jumped up onto the Highledge and said "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highledge for a clan meeting" Thornstar announced "Swiftkit come here Swiftkit you shall be known as Swiftpaw and your mentor will be Beetail may he pass on all of his skills to you" Thornstar said happily and Swiftpaw touched noses with his new mentor, Beetail. "Swiftpaw! Swiftpaw! Swiftpaw!" the clan roared. "And one more thing I will send out patrols'' Sunblaze called. Swiftpaw started to ask if they could go out and explore the territory, but Beetail cut him off and said "Yes we can go out to the forest." then Swiftpaw jumped into the air with happiness! Swiftpaw ran out of the camp with Beetail right behind him, almost with the same energy too! Once they got out to the forest, Beetail called to Swiftpaw "Stay by me, I am going to show you all of our borders now. It will be a long walk, so don't spend all of your energy yet. Ok?" Swiftpaw nodded hard and fast, and then they started to walk. "That over there is Riverclan territory you see them fishing?" Swiftpaw nodded "And over there is Shadowclan territory, and Oh! There is a Windclan patrol coming this way!" "Hello Beetail" "Hello Nightburr" Beetail meowed back "What do you want?" "I want Hawktail and Wolfpool, we are all going to the Moonstone for a half-moon meating and so Wolfpool will become a true medicine cat" Nightburr said "Of course" Beetail agreed "Right this way" "Beetail!!!! We have to go back to camp? But you promised to give me a tour!!!!" I yowled unhappily. "That tour will have to wait" Beetail's voice sounded a little bit disappointed as well as mine. We walked into camp. Cats turned and looked at Nightburr as she was lead into camp "Is that Windclan I smell?" Waterstrike asked "It's an invasion!" Bumbleclaw yowled fearfully "What's going on?" Thornstar jumped up onto the Highledge as he was saying this "Oh! Nightburr! Come along Wolfpool!" Hawktail said. "Coming!'' said Wolfpool as she emerged from her den. All of the medicine cats seemed embarrassed for causing a scene.
