"Swiftpaw! Swiftpaw! Swiftpaw wake up!'' Swiftpaw woke up to see Bluepaw standing over him "Swiftpaw you up?" she asked again. This time I stood up and started to stretch when Bluepaw suddenly hurried me over to the Highledge as Sunblaze was calling out cats to be on a patrol. It had been a single day since Beetail took me out only to then find out we had to escort Nightburr to our camp to get Wolfpool and Hawktail."Border patrol Stromsight, Mousenose, Cinderblaze, Larkfeather, Beetail, Swiftpaw, Bluepaw and Snowheart will be on the patrol" as Sunblaze was saying this Bluepaw looked over at me and said " You know I'm really sorry I teased you as a kit, I was so foolish back then, but I'm sorry if Jaypaw is mean to you he just doesn't understand that we are clanmates and not enemies" I smiled at her, happy that she was apologizing. As the day progressed I stayed in a good mood, but when I was part of a patrol, I noticed Moonflower was sneaking into Twoleg place. I decided not to draw attention to her. For the rest on the patrol I was distracted, thinking about why Moonflower was sneaking into the Twoleg place. By the time we got back from the patrol, Moonflower was already back in camp. I was pretty curious about her, but I knew she would not tell me anything if she did not want to. The next morning me and Beetail went hunting alone near the Shadowclan border. As we were walking around he had me practice my scenting skills. When we were about halfway around the border, I smelt some weird scents. As I asked Beetail about it, he seemed to pick it up then as well. "Go back to camp, I smell Shadowclan. I will keep tracking it but you need to go get backup from the camp." I nodded, fearful, and I started to run as fast as I could back to camp. When I got back I was out of breath, but the leader could smell the scent on me anyway. As I gasped and wheezed, he started to shout out "I need a battle patrol now!" Most of the warriors then started to stream out of the camp to follow my sent trail. As soon as I caught my breath, I ran to catch up with them. As we ran through the forest Sadowclan's sent got stronger and stronger. When we arrived, we saw the other clan's cats calmly walking back over the border. That made me scared for my mentor, and I started to run even faster. We then saw Beetail with not a single scratch on him. It made me confused, but everyone else didn't notice. They started to crowd around him saying that he was so brave for taking on the Shadowclan cats all on his own. I was glad he was ok, but I wanted to know why he sent me away if he was just going to talk them down. Everyone then started to walk back to camp and I started to walk next to Beetail. I asked him why he had sent me away, since he only told them to go away (according to him) and I didn't completely trust him. He said that he didn't know what they were going to do so he wanted me to be out of danger. That made me a little mad, but I understood. When we got back to camp, the rest of the camp was still in an uproar, but started to calm down once they saw that Beetail was unhurt. All the rest of the cats started to crowd around him and start asking him questions. All Beetail said was that he talked to them, and they all left. The entire clan was amazed, and Thornstar said that we would have a feast in his honor. He sent out a bunch of hunting patrols to get food. When all of the patrols came back, Beetail got first pick of the pile. The rest of the night was spent celebrating. I think it was very fun, even though I felt that my mentor was lying about why he sent me away. The next morning I was assigned to a Shadowclan border patrol with my mentor Beetail, Bluepaw, Redfur, Eagleclaw and Stormsight. Bluepaw's Mentor had asked Stormsight to keep an eye on her since he was escorting the leader to the Moonstone. As we walked along the border renewing sent markers, I heard faintly in the bushes a low growl. When I opened my mouth to try and sent anything, a huge patrol of Shadowclan warriors jumped out of the bushes. I was so shocked that I jumped back and almost landed on Bluepaw. She told me that it was probably just a misunderstanding about the markers, or prey. Both patrols glared at each other, and I started to growl. Beetail softly hit me with his tail to tell me to stop growling. I stopped, reluctantly. I didn't think that they had just crossed the border by mistake, I felt they were here to do something else. As they started forward I started to get scared, since this might be my first battle. After a few paces they stopped moving but they got me so scared I was almost shaking.
