my preference was listening to WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? while writing. it's heavily inspired!
it was originally written to be focused on the love aspect, but as this is a mafia!au and taehyung is meant to be a very, very tortured soul who needs gguk's guidance to find himself, I thought it would make sense to focus on his backstory a bit. this story will have focuses on the backstories of both characters, eventually.
this story is VIOLENT. if you do not enjoy that, or you do not wish to read ANY gore at all, this story is likely not for you. there will be murder and descriptions of murder at any given point.
notes:
when writing this book, I was heavily inspired by tokyo ghoul and kaneki's backstory. he is tortured but deserves the world, and eventually finds love that guides him back to his true self.
also, i listened mostly to tame impala while reading this back. the older music fits the vibe a bit more, as it more moody. i highly recommend either tame impala or classical music of some kind with this book.
