All Taehyung ever wanted was a constant in his life.
His parents, although they had loved him to the ends of the Earth, had eventually left him. He had no one to turn to. He was alone in this world, again.
Slender fingers drug across the mossy, green wall of an alleyway. Dazed eyes bore into the crackled concrete before him, winter breeze piercing at his skin and nipping at just the right places to make him squirm. There was nowhere to go.
Plump, cherry red lips pressed together in a firm line as fat, heavy droplets of rain began to patter down against the ground beneath him. His pale locks stuck to his forehead the further he pressed on into the alley, no end in sight. The thin hoodie against his tanned skin did little to keep the ice-cold feeling away from his shoulders, and yet the only thing his mind could find to focus on was that knock he'd received on his door that night. A police officer covered by the shadow of the night had informed him that his parents had been caught head-on in a car accident. What did he have to live for anymore?
That's right. He didn't.The night his parents left him behind, Taehyung was only 16 years old.
As his feet drug beneath him, his mind began to spin. It felt as though thousands of different violins were all playing discordant notes in the back of his mind, and the longer he moved his feet forward, the louder they became.
Finally, his legs collapsed underneath him as the violins grew so incredibly loud he could no longer hear anything but a cruelly beautiful melody in his ears. His hands clasped themselves over the sides of his head in a weak attempt to block the noise, but nothing seemed to be working.
Until finally, the tiniest hint of red flashed in his eyes.
Kim Taehyung remembered nothing else of the night his parents died.
