The crack wasn't always there. Once upon a time, the Drinking bottles lived together on the table, not separated by a big ugly, mother loving, crack. One day the table.. SPLIT all because of a silly little argument between Charle and Zachar, about who was the better skat (treasure). This argument cause a civil war amongst the Drinking bottles, they each had chosen a side. The Dbs (Drinking bottles) that had chosen Zachars side went by... D'chars and the Dbs that had chosen the side of Charle went by... D'arles. The two sides got more and more separated each day, even though Zachar and Charle had solved their conflict decades ago. In the end they had separated so much mentally that they were starting to split physically, and their environment felt the changes as well so the table split just like the Dbs.
To this day the crack still roams over the class with it's ugly bottom crack. In this time of ages Sistemo and Delicata were existing. Sistemo was born a D'char and Delicata was born a D'arles.
It wasn't that the two sides straight up hated one another, in fact they didn't mind one another they were just split. It was an unspoken rule that the sides didn't interact with each other, there wasn't a real reason of such, it was just.. tradition.
The D'chars were doing neither good or bad they'd get filled with water each day and would be treated right. None of them had ever known happiness though, only the eldest that had been alive before the split argument. They had experienced feelings, something that were only myth to this generation.
The D'arles weren't doing that well, they were rarely ever filled with water only when Charle was at Ulala's or rare occasions at school when Katharna needed water. For the D'arles feelings were also a myth something ancient and forgotten.
