One day as Delicata was walking around the Charle lands. On the ground, beside the big wall surrounding the back of A's mansion, it saw a red little round-looking thing. Delicata curious as they are, immediately went to find out what it was. Plus it had never been around this way.
Once it got close enough, it carefully poked it. Since nothing happened it picked it up, giving it a closer inspection. After looking at it for a bit, it wanted to try and take a bite so it did. It was one of the best things it had ever tried, it ate it down to the very last bit, except for the core which it had discovered didn't taste as well as the rest.
Since it had loved this thing so much, it wanted more, but it wasn't sure where it had come from. It looked all around the area they had found it, yet there were no clues. It sat down up against the wall, wondering where this amazing thing might have come from. To its surprise, as it had looked up at the sky, it saw another red-ish round thing hanging from a big-looking plant, but the rest of it seemed to be on the other side of the wall. So it took it upon itself to try and get it by somehow getting up that damn wall. It tried jumping, climbing, running, and crying, but none had worked so it had to find another way in. There was only one other way there. Through A's mansion...
*Knock, Knock* Delicata stood waiting at the door for a moment until A finally opened "What?" A said not in an irritated way, but just in a rather neutral tone. Delicata held up the remains of its apple "Oh, uhm I have some more in the back...If you'd like some?" A said with a hesitant voice. It took a moment for Delicata to realize A was welcoming them inside. A led Delicata straight forward, going straight through the house to the other side where a door led to the garden.
The garden was beautiful; there were so many flowers, plants, and everything was just so...free. Delicata loved it. They went through the garden touching and admiring all the nature. "Wowwww" someone said amazed. Delicata looked up curious to find the source of the sound, once Delicata made eye contact with the person pen looked away and blushed a little "Ups, uhm sorry I uhhh, I uhm didn't mean to seem rude" the person said with an awkward laugh, like pen wanted to die. They stood in silence for a moment the person looking rather nervous, but then Delicata went back to admiring the garden "Uhm...m-my name is uhm, Chase... uhm C-chase Pen, I uhm go by pen/pens pronouns" Delicata felt like Chase was excepting something from it, but it didn't know what so it picked a flower it found pretty, and gave it to Chase "Uhm, t-thanks" Chase said starting to be less nervous. Delicata then spotted the apple tree and ran over to it, Chase being a bit surprised by this decided to follow.
Delicata was now sitting on the ground munching on an apple, while Chase was sat across from them, looking curiously "So, do you uhm know how to talk?" Chase asked, but Delicata just continued eating its apple "I assume that's a no then *chuckles in D'char* well I could like teach you" Chase seemed to have gotten more comfortable now. "So for starters that's an apple" Chase said, as pen pointed to Delicata's apple "A-apple" Delicata hesitantly said, Chase looked positively surprised by this "yes! that's right, you know they say the best way to learn a language is by seeing and listening to it, come on I've got a great idea" Chase said standing up and holding out a hand for Delicata to take. Delicata took pens hand and went along as Chase led them into the house, through the second door to the right, down the stairs into a huge room filled with books, DVDs, CDS and screens.
"Here we are!, this is my room, come on lets go to the couch" Chase said leading Delicata to the couch were it sat down. It wasn't sure what it was sitting on, but it never wanted to leave "Here it is!" Chase said holding a DVD "Ahh, I bet you're gonna love this, Adventure time is one of my all time favorites, Charle (Charle is like saying "god" in our world) I've watched this a lot" Chase said seeming very excited.
1 season of adventure time later...
"O, its already done let me go get season 2" Chase said getting off the couch. "Me...like" Delicata said after having picked up on some of the basics, from watching Adventure time, and listening to Chase rant about scenes that had come up through out the season. "Oh. My. Charle. Delicata I'm so proud of you!" Chase said running over and holding pens hand up "right, this is a high-five, you're supposed to hit my hand with yours" Chase said. Delicata hesitantly took up their hand and touched Chases "Nice!" Chase said in pens usual excited voice. Pen stood for a second and then sat down next to Delicata. Delicata could feel pens mood had changed to a more serious one "You know, I'm actually really happy that you showed up here, despite having all this stuff to keep me entertained, it gets a bit lonely with only me and my Nomy here..." Chase said in a lower voice. Delicata wasn't sure why but it felt like embracing Chase, so it did, even though Chase was a bit surprised by this, it made pen happy "thanks... anyways season 2, let's a go" Chase said in their happy voice again. Pen then turned on the tv.
They were sat watching adventure time until A knocked on the door "It's probably dinner, I'll be right back" Chase said as pen got up, and went to the door. "Would you like me to bring your food down here, or will you come up to eat? Delicata recognized A's voice despite it sounding sweeter than when A had talked to Delicata "Uhm, I think me and my friend will come up to eat, I would like for you two to meet anyways" there was a pause Delicata thought that maybe it was because A didn't want to meet them, and started feeling a little sad "Friend? you mean Delicata?? I didn't realize you two knew each other, is it here right now?" A said sounding a bit surprised but also happy "Yea they've been here almost all day, so dinner in five?" Chase asked "Yes, I'll prepare an extra plate"
A few minutes later...
Delicata thought A seemed much different than to when they had previously interacted with them, but it preferred this A, they seemed nicer "By the way Delicata I apologies my rudeness the last times I've met you, I'm just a bit wary of strangers, but now that you're friends with my little Penny, I trust you".
