*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

"Ugh.."

I slowly get up and start to get ready. Today is my first day of school. I go to Hillington Academy which is a public school with lots of people and of course, I'm not popular or anything. I have some friends, but like I said I'm an introvert. I put on a cute pink shirt and black jeans.

I walk to the bathroom and brush my wavy light brown hair. I brush my teeth and apply some makeup. I look in the mirror and look at myself.

"Eh.."

I walk out of the bathroom and head downstairs for breakfast. I see my mom watching the news. "Morning Mom," I say tiredly. "Morning honey! I made you breakfast," she replies.

"Thank you, you're the best!"

I run over to the table and scarf down pancakes and eggs. They were good; buttery, and amazing.

"Thanks, Mom! These are good," I say while eating.

"Of course! Are you ready for your first day of 11th grade?"

"Yeah, I'm a little nervous. But at least I have one friend."

"Try to make at least one new friend, for me."

"Okay," I say.

"Bye, Mom! See you after school!" I wave while walking out.

I walk to the bus stop and it comes so fast. I walk on and see the bus is full of people. I hate most people, like I've said I'm an introvert. I see this really pretty girl with dark brown short hair, freckles, and brown eyes, sitting a couple of rows back sitting alone. I slowly walk back taking a deep breath.

I approach her and smile. "Can I sit with you?"

She smiles back. "Sure."

For a few minutes, we sit in silence and it takes everything in me not to stare at her. Also, she smells amazing, like flowers. I want to get to know her and become friends, but my introverted self is holding me back. Just then, she speaks...

"Hey, I'm Jenna. What's your name?" She asks.

"Oh, I'm Emma."

"That's a nice name. So Emma, are you ready for the first day of school?"

"Not really, I'm nervous that I'll be all alone. I don't talk much, haha."

"Well, you can stick with me? You seem like a good person," she smiles.

"Sure," I smile back.

"So, what grade are you in?" She asks.

"11th grade."

"Oh, same! I wonder if we have any classes together."

"This is my schedule."

"Oh my god, we have the same schedule!"
